Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It really is mold/ mildew resistant!!! I had to caulk the hot water faucet that my apt mgr. did repairs on because he left it completely un-caulked when he was finished! I asked why, and he said it would be easier to open up should I need another repair done. (What?!@!) Anyway - glad this happened because I discovered this silicone clear caulk instead. The other 2 shower faucets develop that black disgusting mold around them no matter how I clean. This one (hot water) that I did hasn't had one black piece of mold yet! And that was 2 years ago!!! Gonna have the maintenance guy (his son who does a better job) do the other 2 with a new tube of this silicone clear while he's repairing the middle faucet. It really works. Trust me. I can't open my bath window because they are painted shut, so the mold not forming on that hot water faucet is exceptional. Buy this. You won't be sorry. And it is easy to work with once you get the hang of it. I used my fingertips to spread, then cleaned up with pure acetone. Took a shower that night (about 8 hours later.) No problems. June 30, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Use!!! The consistency of the caulk is way to runny and makes it extremely difficult to work with. If you decide to use this be prepared to clean up a big mess. It runs all over the place. January 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to work with for beginner; solid results I needed to caulk around my shower doors and some of my tiles because the builders did a poor job the first time around (sections weren't caulked at all, others had been caulked by a blind person, apparently). Being a new homeowner, I had no experience with using caulk but did some research and watched some videos. Chose silicone due to it being waterproof, adhering to multiple surfaces, and mold-resistant. I chose the GE caulk because it comes with a lifetime warranty and it can be exposed to water as soon as 3 hours after application, although I waited a day because I had the time. But I checked the product at 3 hours and it had indeed dried enough that I'd feel comfortable exposing it to water. But it was fully cured after 24 hours. Anyway, this stuff seems to have worked great. Sealed up the gaps left from the poor job by the contractor and is keeping the water in the shower and off my bathroom floors. It's also very easy to work with and work into the gaps after you've laid down your bead. Using tape to create straight lines, my lines look better in many places than the builder's. One tip: use plenty of light as you work. Because it's clear, I found it was easy to get it all over my hands or for it to ooze out of the tube onto the floor or tub, etc. Then I used a headlamp and that cut down on mess. Nothing a rag with mineral spirits didn't fix, which is another plus. I found this was easy to clean up. Overall: I highly recommend this, especially if you were like me and had no idea what sort of bathroom caulk you should use and had no experience with caulking coming into the project. I have a large gap between the tile and tub in my wife's bathroom (thanks again to the builder using the wrong kind of caulk) that I intend to fill with the almond silicone version of this product. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great on my shower This is the first time I used this brand and application was much easier. I find Dap to be a bit sticky when you run your finger over it. This was smooth as silk & my shower looks awesome. I hope the 5 year promise of no mold or mildew holds true. November 9, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This stuff works great. Used it to calk the seams in my shower. Calked between the HardieBacker and the shower pan, calked between the shower pan and the floor. This stuff is awesome. March 4, 2014
