Customer Questions & Answers

What gauge is the pin?

Asked by: Dean
The male end of the pin fits exactly into my 14 gauge stripper (.078" diameter) and the female end will accept wire larger than 10 gauge (10ga is the largest I have to test with, and it fits. Snugly, but it totally fits).

Easy to connect your bare speaker wires to but you MUST get the correct size allen wrench as it's a small size. However, once you have it, it's easy to lock down your bare wires. I've wired up five pairs of speaker cables and ran out!! It's the best buy once you start pricing what a simple pair will cost so getting five pairs at this bulk pack is a good deal. No more fussing with bare wire strands. I'm ordering another package as it's annoying to run out when you need more! I've used them for the past month and makes hooking up and taking out speaker wires a breeze.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked great for me No instructions are included, but speaker connections are not exactly rocket science. There is a very tiny set screw on the side of the gold-plated pin (you have to remove the plastic sleeve first!), so finding the right allen wrench takes a while to locate (at least for me). But once I found one to fit, it took me less than a half-hour to make two speaker connections (8 speaker pins total). Hooked them up to the stereo and having no issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solved my problem Had to put AWG 12 speaker wire into speaker boxes with AWG 14 holes, so they helped me install the larger wires.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The instructions might as well be in chinese, like where the product was made These could be the most useless product in the history of creation. Unless you know what you're doing, just do yourself a favor and throw them in the trash before you open the package. At least you'll get the satisfaction of ruining them, rather than the obverse. There are no instructions. Do you solder the wires to them? Do you somehow melt the plastic sleeve to hold the wire? Or-- do you just stick the wire into the speaker, as I did, and forget the whole need for them.
