Product Overview

The shower doesn't have to be off-limits for a full day. Caulk the shower or tub with GE Kitchen and Bath Supreme Silicone and reduce the wait time dramatically. GE Supreme Silicone adheres to a wide variety of substrates and quickly builds a tight seal that can be exposed to water as little as 30 minutes after application. Some caulk requires wait time of a full day or longer before using the shower or the caulk might wash away. Mold-free product protection helps keep the cured caulk mold- and mildew-free and looking clean for 10 years, with regular cleaning. Mold is not only an unsightly and embarrassing problem to have in your bathroom, around a tub or shower, but it might also lead to health problems. Some caulk might claim limited protection, but GE Supreme Silicone Kitchen and Bath is formulated for increased protection. 100% Silicone sealant is widely considered to be the best caulk for recaulking and sealing around your bathtub, shower and faucets as well as other areas in your home that will be exposed to water.

Customer Reviews

Supreme Silicone 10.1 oz. Clear Kitchen and Bath Caulk is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top quality, as expected from this product. Top quality, as expected from this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Resists mold The other reviewer is a whiner. The caulk is a bit more difficult to work with, but not beyond anyone who has modest experience. It does look good when dry. The stuff does stink when you put it down, and wearing nitrile gloves is recommended. The plus side is when it dries it adheres well, seals and resist mold.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cures too quickly GE seems to have come to believe that everyone caulks their bath/shower just before they use the tub or shower. Thus the 30 minute shower ready claim. The problem with this product is just that it cures too quickly. It went on easily enough, but the surface starts to cure before the user can smooth out the finish leading to a rough finish overall. There is no need to have such a fast cure that inhibite a smooth application.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Awful workability When I caulk a bath tub or shower I like a nice smooth looking surface, this is not the product for that. Lumpy and bumpy unpleasant results with this stuff. It just is not workable at all, squirt it out perfect and you are fine, otherwise you are just fighting an uphill battle. No workability whatsoever. I will never use again, back to DAP for me, at least you can work with it. It may last longer and has better mold resistant but the finished look is critical to me. If you use this product make sure that you are laying down a perfect bead and do not touch it!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly Designed Tube.... Impossible to Open and Leaked Out the Back.... Have done many remodeling jobs and have used dozens of tubes of caulk over the years....this is the most expensive and this is the worst caulk tube I have ever had...... Not sure if I got a defective unit or what.....Had to take a hacksaw to open the tube.....would not pierce with a nail....then on top of that the tube leaked out the back and made an awful mess of my caulking gun. I guess that's what you expect when you pay top dollar $8 for a tube of caulk... . Will be taking it back to Home Depot for a REFUND. BIG WASTE OF TIME. My a different brand....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I am not a professional but was able to work with this caulk just fine. You just need to be a little faster. It dries looking great actually, and if it doesn't mold I'm going to really love it. It definitely does smell while applying but whatever. The clear looks really good.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Caulk worked fine - except it all came out the back of the tube Bought a tube of caulk and a new caulk gun today to recaulk the shower in our master bath, a project I have done in more than one house. Pierced the tip, loaded the caulk gun, squeezed the trigger. the caulk came out of the tip but a HUGE amount came out of the back of the tube. Total mess and a total waste. I managed to just pull it out of the back with my finger and finished the shower, but what a pain.
