Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by UnhappyGEowner Stainless steel door rusting after 2 months.
Purchased this model for 2 reasons:
1 - Top door controls ( Tight pantry location)
2 - Stainless interior and exterior (To match all the other HD bought Stainless appliances)
3 - Slim design
AFTER JUST 2 MONTHS of ownership and usage of (ONCE A WEEK)
- NICE design (OTHER THAN FLAWED TOP RACK. ( Only slides out half way does not hold much.
- Nice top door controls with simple 2 button selection. Super easy to use.!
- SMALL top rack, does not slide out much at all.
- Does not clean utensils in utensil racks thoroughly.
Today, June10, 2015, I just noticed there are approximately 10 small (1\4 inch) rust stains on the lower exterior door.
- They will NOT remove. Have tried
- few are rough to the touch indicating deep surface rust corrosion.
- NO bleach, chlorine, scouring pad, or any cleaning product other than MAGIC Stainless Steel Cleaner has been used. (As the owners manual states)
According to what I read today on GE site, GE has DISCONTINUED this product.
*** READ THE REVIEWS OF THIS PRODUCT ON GE'S SITE FOR YOURSELF....PRETTY B A D ****
Stay tuned, I put in a warranty claim for service and GE is sending someone in 7 days ( June 17, 2015)
I Hope GE makes good on this. I do have HD 5 year Extended Warranty, but kicks in AFTER first 12 months. So its in GE's hands for now.
TO BE CONTINUED..........

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Steven Built like a TANK and QUIET!
I bought this for my wife for "12 Xmas. I bought it unseen as a replacement due to a delivery date mixup and I couldn't be happier. It's not a large capacity unit but it's fine fort he two of us and the occasional dinner with friends. Honestly, I've never seen our glasses so CLEAN & SHINY. The top controls are simple & easy to understand and glow a sweet green. I'm lovin' the stainless steel tub, front & handle but most of all the way this thing is built. When I close the door..THUMP..it's closed. Just like a solid sedan. When it's doing it's thing it's QUIET..I mean REAL QUIET. We can barely hear it running from 6 feet away. Measure carefully before you buy one because if you have side cabinets that pull out you have to consider that this model has a rather large curved handle that may block the drawer(s) or base cabinet. All-in-all worth the price..So Far.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ondine My dishwasher
I bought this dishwasher about five months ago when my other one conked out.
So far it's been great. Very simple to operate. On a "quiet" scale I would rank it an 8 out of 10 which is fine with me. Dishes come out very clean, no residue. I wanted something black, simple and able to fit into a small space . This is fine for my needs.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Verified Reviewer Well worth the $200 over the cheapest version
In my last condo I had the cheapest dishwasher Home Depot offered. The difference between that DW and this is night and day. I love the design, with the controls hidden in the door top. It doesn't scream appliance.
Most important, it doesn't scream (incredibly quiet, you can talk to someone five feet away in a normal voice) and it cleans. I love the cutlery trays - every knife/fork/spoon has its own spot - and comes out spotless - but if you need to clean something larger, like a pizza cutter, just raise the lid.
This is a quality appliance, and for something most of us use daily, sometimes more than once daily, well worth the slight premium.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by TheMadBaker Not worth the aggrivation
We bought this dishwasher (in white) almost 3 years ago. It was a black Friday deal and at the time, the majority of the reviews were good. We used the dishwasher about once a day over that time period. Here are the pros: It did get off caked-on foods on plates and it is pretty quiet. The cons: it constantly had mold build-up by the seals - I would have to wash them every two weeks with all-purpose cleanser, silverware didn't always get clean, the drying cycle would make my dishes smell terrible. AND then it broke after 2 1/2 years of use. We luckily purchased the extended warranty, however, that proved to be useless because GE refused to fix the thing unless we installed an airgap (this is NOT required in our area of Buffalo, NY). After several attempts to fix it ourselves and hiring a small appliance repair person, it was determined that the control board was fried. 2 1/2 years old and it's already completely useless - a control board costs almost as much as a brand new dishwasher. We are scrapping it now and buying a Whirlpool. I will never buy GE again based on the service we received from them or lack thereof.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tweety43 Very satisfy
I bought this item about four month ago, and have waited to do a review to make sure what to write. First the price we paid was very reasonable compare to many others. As of right now I am very much satisfy with the results. My dishes are well clean, dry and the best of all its does not make much noise while washing. I will recommend it to anyone.
