Basically, this dishwasher looks nice. That's about all I can say for a positive. Since you can't open the door without it attached I was unable to try it out before purchasing. I wish I had been able to - I would have bought a different one. The first time I opened it I cut my knuckle. The metal on the top of the machine has a raw edge and you must be careful when opening the door. If you slide your hand up as the door is coming down you may get cut. As for the inside I have yet to find a practical way to hold my dishes. The racks are just not handy. Also, since the controls are hidden you can't turn the machine off before opening the door. This option would come in handy because when the door is open it is very easy for toddlers to push the buttons while you are putting items in.

I purchased this to replace my old GE dishwasher. The stainless tub is great, the dishes come out clean and dry and it is the quietest unit we have ever owned. It looks great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this dishwasher to anyone. We are a family of five and I cook all the time so even though we have only had it a few weeks this is a work horse and a great buy.

This unit is so much quieter than the old one (which sounded likes rocks in a dryer in comparison) We can only hear it for a few seconds when it's emptying water. It cleans very well. I have not had it very long so I don't have racking my dishes quite right yet but there is a lot of room and I don't have any problems getting things in there and they come out clean! Even utensils! Easy to use and controls are hidden so the unit looks nice in the kitchen. This is a great buy.

So far so good hope i can say this many years from now...good price point -- very quiet and a terrific cleaner of all things grody. We have a tankless water heater and often help the dishwasher out by running the hot water on early, at least for the 1st run cycle. Well designed racks and no problems but i know it's not even a year old yet and now companies unfortunately plan obsolescence into their products.

We have generally been pleased with the GE products, but are stuck on the dishwasher. We have to wash the dishes almost clean before putting them in. The grinder, called the piranha, was supposed to grind up all food residue , but it does not. there is almost always food at the bottom of the dishwasher and its very hard to get out. This is an average, ordinary dishwasher that works fine for our family of 4. The racks are nice. We had difficulty fitting it under our standard kitchen counter where the old dishwasher was and had to take off the feet. Double or triple-check your measurements!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Casey32 Having to rewash dishes, AFTER run through dishwasher
I had my home built, and these were the appliances the builder uses. I love how quiet my dishwasher is, and it's sleek appearance,
I have had a repairman out twice already and am scheduled for another call. Initially the heating element had to be replaced because the dishes weren't dry after the cycles were complete.
An underlying problem I have also had with this dishwasher is that I have to rinse/rewash at least 40%-50% of the dishes, silverware and/or glasses after each wash.
I use the suggested "Cascade" dish detergent and everything else. The dishes still need to be dried after the "drying cycle" and there is a soap film and or food particles on the dishes.
I always rinse my dishes/glasses/silverware before putting them into the dishwasher, but unless I scrub/wash them, it doesn't seem to get everything off....and even then there is still soap film/residue.
I am hoping this will be the last time I need a technician to come out. I just really don't see the need of having a dishwasher if I have to wash the dishes before and after I put them in the dishwasher....Seems kinda counterproductive.

Dishwasher has worked well, long cycle time but that is true of all new dishwashers. Washes and dries well, has some issues with drying plastics. Good product for the price.
