After a little experiment...I have discovered that the pod Cascade Priemium (also leaves the dishwasher shinning like new) works the best in this dishwasher. Liquid and granuals didn't seem to work/clean as well. Since, I have been greatly pleased. Learning to stack in a different configuration has been much easier with the diagrams provided in the service manual. Pots, plastics, silverware and assorted dishes ALL are sparkling clean (and dry) without pre-rinse. Delivery personnel were punctual, mannerly and answered every question. Replaced a 20yr old GE Profile with this one which I would recommend highly. LOVE, Love, love the tall tub, low door configuration!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Karsten Many features, Great Value, Quiet
Very Good. Like the features of steam preclean, option of heated water boost, adjustable height top rack, soil sensor, top controls with time remaining display, energy saving feature of just upper or lower rack clean. Very quiet. Washed dish with baked on Chicken Parmesan without pre-cleaning and it was 99% clean (used Finish powerball detergent tabs).

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bobby worst dishwasher ever
This is the worst dishwasher ever. It can be loaded no more than 2/3 full before it can't clean everything. It's cycles are entirely too long.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dave I wish I could exchange it for another brand.
Cleans worse than our 13 year old dishwasher that we replaced. Plastic silverware baskets can come loose and fall out if you are not careful. These baskets are over designed and difficult to use because the holes in the top covers that are used to stick the utensil handles in are too small. The soap dispenser can be blocked by the silverware in these baskets. The controls are excessively complicated and difficult to learn, and positioned so that is too easy to bump them and change them by accident. The handle on the door sticks out and blocks the opening an adjacent cabinet drawer. The handle should have been recessed.

I purchased this dishwasher about 30 days ago. It has many features only found on much more expensive models. 1. Steam Cleaning. 2. Top of door control buttons. 3. Wash Zones- Top or Lower level only cycle. 4. 1-12 hour delay wash. 5. Top rack is adjustable. 6. Stainless Steel interior door. 7. Hard food disposer. 8. AutoSense- automatically senses the soil level and adjusts the wash cycle accordingly. 9. Water temp. boost or sanitation temp. cycles 10. Heated dry. All of this with a 48db sound rating (very quite) and made in the USA!
All of this is great but how clean do the dishes get you ask? I have had excellent results with very dirty dishes that my 5 year old dishwasher could not get clean. Baked on, stuck on food is no match for the steam cycle.
The most common complaint I have read concerning this dishwasher is that it does not dry well. Mine however does a great job. Here would be my suggestions concerning the drying process. 1. Make sure your water temperature is between 120-150 degrees- no more, no less. 2. Use rinse agent. 3. Wait until the warm steam stops coming out from the front vents of the dishwasher. It takes time to get all of that moisture out of the dishwasher even after the drying cycle has finished. The longer you wait, the dryer the dishes will be. 4. Or do what I do and run it overnight whenever possible and dishes come out 99% dry.
Based on the money spent with the features and performance of this dishwasher, I am Very Happy!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Soundcrafter I'll keep it?
This washer is a major improvement over the piece of junk that came with my house but... there is a high pitch noise that sounds like the old CRT TV's used to sound like when they were on. I'm sure I will get used to it with time. My other washer put out about 210 decibels of sound (the same rating as standing 250 feet away for an exploding atom bomb). It could be heard in the next county. It was obnoxious. With this new washer, I can have a normal conversation or watch TV at a low level with no problem. Seems well built. The controls are easy to use. Would I buy it again? Probably not. I would spend $1000 on a super duper washer. My sister has a great, quiet washer and spent about $1000. But for the price I think this one is pretty nice.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Libsmacker DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!!
Bought the dishwasher in April 2013 and has been nothing but a headache. Wouldnt wash or dry the dishes at all no matter what we tried. Drying unit was not included with this dishwasher. Had a repair tech come in about the soapy residue. Basically was told a rinse agent had to be used and nothing else was done.Yeah right that didnt help any at all. Still leaves soap residue all over everything. The drying unit was later put in after complaining. Dishes are nice and dry but still have soap residue. Tried different soap from liquid to pods same thing. Tired of hand washing dishes that should already be clean. Unfortunately at the time of purchase they didnt have a Maytag available. Never buying this brand EVER again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by memery This product is the worst buy I have made!
I do not recommend this dishwasher to anyone. I have yet to find a cycle that does not leave residue or completely clean dishes. It states not to rinse your dishes before putting in the dishwasher but you have to in order to get clean dishes. The dry cycle is a joke. Everything including the inside of the dishwasher is soaking wet after using the drying feature. Last but not least I cannot fit half of what I used to be able to fit into my old dishwasher into this dishwasher. Seriously considering returning it because I cannot live 7-10 years with this dishwasher. My old $300 whirlpool dishwasher cleaned much better and held much more.
