My puppy was apparently afraid of the dark and potty training at night was straining both of us. Once I installed what I lovingly refer to as "the landing strip" (because as he walks down the hallway he has a lighted pathway leading him out to the piddle pads in the garage) potty issue SOLVED!! Who knew a baby doggie would be afraid of a dark, long, lonely hallway. You can set them to stay on, or come on based on motion. They stay on for maybe 30 seconds and then turn themselves off, until motion is detected again. Battery operated so no wiring. I applied Velcro to the backs and to the wall along the hallway where I wanted them spaced. They come with mounting screws but I didn't want to put screws into the wainscoting. These lights are great!!!

Don't let the first month fool you. This model malfunctions soon after. Stays on all the time even in motion sense mode and burns through batteries.

I bought this on-line for my 80+ yr old parents. They loved it until it quit working 6 months later. Now they have to go out (drive) and purchase a new one, because they got use to it.

The first light I bought is great for use as a bright night light so that one does not have to turn the electric lights on in a room when moving around when its dark. I have it hanging on the wall in the bathroom. When automatic sensor function is activated the light turns on promptly and is bright (Lights up the whole area)then it automatically turns off after about 45 seconds. Real pleased with it. I use 4 AA rechargeable batteries to power it. Batteries do not need charging but once every other week or so. Depends on usage. RECENT BIG PROBLEM...I recently bought another Wall Sconce and it had Sensor Problems. The Automatic Sensor would come on, then it would turn off then come right on without any motion being detected. I returned the product for an exchange and it has the same problem. I have tried everything to try to get it to work correctly, but have not had any luck in doing so. I have recently contacted the company, and anticipate a response before I return this product as well. I really like this product and I hope I can get a fix to my problem. Jury is out on if future products are worth it.

It provides adequate light at the kitchen sink. Quite an improvement.

Terrible product. One worked for a week then I bought another one and it never worked in Auto- unless Auto mean Auto on all the time. Once it sensed motion it would stay on. The first I bought turned on and off as it should in the auto position but after a week the sensor just kept tripping turning it on and off. GE Tech support was happy to replace this for me but who knows how long it will last this time. 3rd times a charm? 15 dollars for 2 dollar unit... Poor quality internal electronics.

I was ready to call in an electrician, but after seeing these I figured I couldn't go wrong. I bought two placing them against the wall opposite each other with five steps spaced between. Gives bright light when motion is detected. No more stumbling in the dark, My only problem is that they are bulky (I found another design that is much sleeker). I'll be moving these to use in the garage or storage closet. Good investment either way.
