FYI?
I FOUND THOSE EQUIVILENT WATTAGE RATINGS ARE NOT QUITE ALL THAT ACCURATE
INSTEAD? GO BY LUMENS-HOW MANY IT PUTS OUT
USE A LUMENS CHART LIKE THIS
A 100 watt Bulb is rated at approximately 1700 lumens = 17-1
A 60 watt incandescent bulb is rated at approximately 800 lumens = 13.3 -1 ratio
A 40 watt bulb is rated at approximately 400 lumens = 10-1 ratio
A 25 watt bulb is rated at approximately 180

If a Mr. Beams Puts out "300" Lumens for its Single LED Spotlight?
divided by 10-1 = approx a 30 watt light incadesent bulb.
and until they come out with a more accurate comparisions ?
-Have to go buy it
-Take it Home & Try it
-Then just return it if not bright enough
This current system they use for comparing , increases Returns more Frequently
maybe they plan on most won't return it.., at least with in the 90 day Rtn. policy?
With any Outdoor Battery Powered System, I would 1st water test it ! light spray of water on it, then open it up and look !
If see any moisture? I would Add an additional Seal of Tape or Clear Latex Caulking around the Cover of the Batteries. as an added sealer ..
Another Issue? AA vs D batteries
While its recommended to use Lithium Batteries that work better in Cold weather and last longer?
and they do not have "D' Size Lithiums ( yet) ?
You may want to get a OD wireless Spot lite taht uses AA Batteries and buy Lithiums for it, AFTER you tested it out and it will do the job..
For most Are Mounting Spot lights Up High and requiring needing to use a Step or Full size Ladder and thus you want to Be Doing that to replacing Batteries as Little as Possible and thus using Longer lasting Lithium maybe the solution..
At least that is what I found out was best for me to do, with all Battery Powered items..
Exception? Programable Thermostats. I Installed Lithium Batteris in mine andit didn't work , so I called their Phone # for help and talked with Mfg. People while installing mine and they said to use Reg. AA Batteries and NOT Lithium ! and the Unti worked when I installed Reg. Batteries!
I'd be hesitant Getting any Battery Fixture that I can't use Lithium Batteries in it to help me Avoid having to change batteries so often.. and avoid climbing Up and Dwn Ladders as Little as Possible.. a Major cause of breaking your neck !..
Always try to have someone Hold the ladder when your climbing Up and down it..
also? Mount the Spot Light or any OD Light with Good Stainless Steel Lag Screws! to avoid Rusting down your siding and use a 1/2"- 1" Longer screw to be sure its mounted well .and put alittle Clear Laxtex caulk around the head before screwing it in or after, to insure moister won't get in..
And If you don't Hit a Stud while mounting it? Use Anchor screws.. ( I've seen some mounting it to just their Vynil Siding and a Month later see it hanging and pulling out the siding with it..! )
and Always Ck it for any Birds making Nest on them- a Very Common Problem.. and since they( Robins) are protected and you can't remove the nest?
A Fake OWL at all four ends of the Houe along with Fake Wasp nest has worked for my home..

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lasted 2 weeks This light has good reviews at a lot of sites but it only lasted about 2 weeks for me. We had an overnight shower and the next day I noticed there was moisture in the senser lens. I brought it inside and went into a dark room and it wouldn't come on. I took out the batteries and saw there was some moisture in the unit so I let it dry out, but it still didn't work. I tried replacing the batteries, too. It did make it through the first shower and the unit is supposed to be sealed for weather but not good enough I guess. July 25, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product works for me While I did not purchase this product for its intended use, I am very happy for its performance as I have applied it. I have stationed several of these battery-operated sensor lights around my yard to scare away hungry rabbits. They trigger the sensor and do not appreciate being illuminated. It's a great way to deter varmints without deadly force. March 13, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not easy to rate if it doesn't work. Got it, put the batteries in, and the motion detector didn't work. It came on a couple of times, but it couldn't detect a 747 jet coming right at it to even go off. Very poor product. I am returning it. May 28, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Provides light where I need it with no wiring. And its also pretty bright if needed to light up a larger area two will get the job done. May 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install, and provided the light and security needed Great product, and served the need of a non electrical connected security light. April 9, 2013
