Product Overview

GREAT STUFF Pond and Stone is a polyurethane-based foam sealant designed for use in water features. By expanding to fill gaps and cracks, it works as a water-resistant sealant to help direct the flow of water in waterfall, pond and streambed construction to go where you want it to go, not under or behind rocks. The foam is black to blend in among the stones and shadows. It cures in 8 hours to create a water-shedding bond for stone, rock, masonry, concrete and most other building materials. It's perfect for water features from fountains to koi ponds because it's safe for fish.

  • Water-shedding aquascape, landscape/hardscape foam filler, sealer and adhesive for damp or dry application
  • Adheres to stone and rock and is safe for fish
  • Expands to fill gaps to direct water flow over rocks and secures stones without mortar
  • Black colored foam has all-direction dispensing
  • Repairs cracks and holes in trees
  • Cures in 8 hours; one 12 oz. can is equal to up to 19 tubes of caulk

Not knowing how your cement walkway is placed, the key question is "What allowed erosion to occur in the first place?" Is the walkway located on a slope or hillside? This would be Step #1: try to eliminate the cause of the erosion, e.g. by blocking water flows. You can (probably) fill the eroded gap with rock and concrete, which you can mix in small quantities in a Home Depot bucket.

I hope this is helpful.

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good product I was using this foam to seal around the rocks in my waterfall to avoid leaks. It has worked great. It had adequate expansion, but not excessive to fill the voids around the rocks. It sets up fairly quickly. You can sprinkle sand over the foam and shape it around the rocks when is has partially set, to give it a color matching the rock. Worked great! October 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT OUTDOOR SEALER THIS PRODUCT IS ALSO GOOD FOR FILLING OUTDOOR GAPS October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Insulating Foam Sealant for Ponds The best stuff for building fountains. And it comes in black, which is a must. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for sealing leak on roof by chimney I have a flat roof that had a spray foam roof over the old felt roof. The old felt flashing in the chimney came away from the chimney taking the foam with it allowing rainwater to flow down the side of the chimney into the house. I broke away some of the old felt/foam, pushed the nozzle of the can into the crack and squirted. Eventually the foal sealant came out of the crack and I no longer get water coming into the house when it rains. December 31, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stuff Great Stuff is just that, great stuff! This is the black version, designed for waterfalls and ponds. I wish the stores in Houston would carry it. August 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Awful product Excellent customer service and fast shipment but the product it's awful... At first it expands as it is supposed to do but after 3 days it shrinks almost 1/3 of it size leaving a gap.. August 16, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not quite what i was looking for. My idea, such as it was, is to fill the cracks in my driveway with the expanding foam before topping. Tried it with the usual Great Stuff a few years ago, works better than the stuff sold to fill cracks. But it's yellow, so needs a good coat of blacktop to cover it, and when a piece breaks off the yellow is back, so I discovered this stuff which is black. So it behaves like the usual Great Stuff, color is kind of a very dark eggplant/brownish. But the problem is that after a couple of days of sunlight, it's faded to a slightly greenish version of the same yellow. So, unless you need black foam indoors, I guess, there's not a lot of reason to use this rather than the normal colors Didn't try it underwater to see if it holds color better then. July 12, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed Ordered this product to fill in some gaps in my railroad tie wall. Seemed to work ok, but a can of it didn't go very far. After a couple of months the color changed from black to olive green - not good. I would not buy this product again. Cheaper to buy the regular Great Stuff at half price and paint it after it dries.
