Customer Questions & Answers

Foam Dispensing Gun

Please, how often to I need to replace the tips on a foam dispensing gun? Do I need different tips for different applications (One if I fill a large gap, one if I fill as small gap, etc.)?
Asked by: Novice
Replacing the tip of our GREAT STUFF™ Pro Guns is not necessary if the gun is properly cleaned and taken care of. Clean the foam dispensing gun periodically by rubbing the end on soft wood to free it from foam. Do not use a sharp object to clean the foam dispensing gun. Use a solvent cleaner such as GREAT STUFF™ Pro Gun Cleaner between extended periods of non use. For additional instruction on how to use our GREAT STUFF™ Pro dispensing gun(s), please contact us at 866-583-BLUE (2583).

Is there foam in a can that is very high density (gets very hard/) Item number?

Also the amount of foam in cu. ft. etc
Asked by: PaPa77
GREAT STUFF™ sealants use moisture in the air to cure. They are designed to fill small cracks and gaps. The foam does not cure properly if it is used to fill large voids unless it is put down in layers and allowed to cure before the next layer is applied. Do not use GREAT STUFF™ sealants to fill enclosed voids such as behind drywall or under tub surrounds. 13 Foam Dispensing Gun is rated 1.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gun gunge in 5 minutes of work. Sent back this one. Stopped working in 5 minutes. Bought metal one for $50, have no problems so far.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from ok as long as you clean it after every use instructions say you can keep foam can on gun for days without any problem, but no so - need to clean it after every use... and the square tip gets stuck between window / doors and frame - round tip would work better

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can would not seat correctly in/on gun After multiple attempts, I was unable to get the can of Great Stuff Wall & Floor adhesive to screw on to the Great Stuff Pro 13 gun I'd purchased sufficiently enough to release the foam product. The solution: go to our local hardware store to purchase a Great Stuff Pro 14 gun. The Great Stuff Pro 14 gun worked just fine. The problem appeared to be that the threads on the can and Great Stuff Pro 13 gun did not 'align' correctly. Based on the other reviews posted on the internet this seems to be a known problem, and I'm surprised it hasn't yet been resolved...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst item ever!!! I have been messing around with this piece of junk for more time than it is worth. I have had it with this model as it never seems to connect onto the spray foam or the cleaner can properly. Don't waste your money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PRODUCT Can't thread foam can far enough to release the valve for foam to flow through. This is my 2nd unit and they are both working very poorly. I am doing exactly what is described on the instructions and my cans are not expired. Don't waste your money on this product, I did and will bring everything back to the store for a full refund, this is a very poorly designed product.
