Two Pieces? The Can and the Nozzle or straw?
I dont think it is a two part MIX. The Nozzle has to be screwed onto the top of the can to make application easy.

Hi OceanJeff40, there are two great stuff pro window and door sealants, One you use with a straw and the other one uses a gun for distribution of product. The one you are asking about uses a gun. The other type has a different valve on top and accepts a straw which screws on to the valve. The straw comes with that product. I know both installation guides, state to screw the straw on the valve.

Is this PRO "high yield" Great Stuff formula actually higher yielding than the regular Great Stuff cans with the straws?

I'm trying to determine the cost per ounce of foam. The regular cans are 16 oz for about $6 and the PRO cans are 20 oz for $13. Unless there is actually a formulation difference resulting in greater yields from the same fluid ounces, I'm likely to buy the original cans with the straws as the are a better value for my project.

Dear Dan: Yes. Justin Fink at Fine Homebuilding ran a thorough test of Great Stuff. Here is what he found:
Gun yield: 83 cubic inches per ounce
Straw yield: 69 cubic inches per ounce
Even more important, spritzing the foam with a bit of water boosted the yield by 73% (gun) to 92% (straw), accelerated cure time and created fewer voids in the cured foam. (The numbers shown above include the water spritz Read More

Even more important, spritzing the foam with a bit of water boosted the yield by 73% (gun) to 92% (straw), accelerated cure time and created fewer voids in the cured foam. (The numbers shown above include the water spritz treatment.) That's because Great Stuff foam needs water vapor to cure, and pulls it from the humidity in the air. A light spritz of water improves the process.
I hope this will be helpful in your next Great Stuff project!

Answer:
There are some 'Canned' spray products for homeowner use. It will cost about 3X as much as batt insulation to do it right. But it is 3X more effective. SO... If you truly want a 16X16 building to have effective climate control, I would do the Spray. Hire a PRO if you don't feel you can follow all the correct steps.

For can foam using the straw adapter, the theoretical yield of one-component foams are measured in lineal feet. For the 20 O.Z. can you will get approximately 417 linear feet at a 3/8” bead or 235 linear feet at ½” bead.
If you need to insulate a wall, consider using Dow FROTH-PAK™ Class A polyurethane foam insulating system in cavity wall applications. Click the following link for more information on Froth Pak. http://building.dow.com/na/en/products/sealants/index.htm
Another option might be STYROFOAM™ Brand Square Edge product with square edges on four sides to help ensure energy efficiency and minimize on-site cutting and waste. It offers superior water resistance, long-term thermal performance and high compressive strength for a wide range of applications. http://building.dow.com/na/en/products/insulation/squareedge.htm

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Check the date on the bottom! HD stores do not manage expiration dates on this product. In Feb 2016, one store had a couple of dozen cans with expiration date Jan 2015! Another store had only Feb 2016. Another store had cans dated 2017. February 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great stuff did the job! nice!! and I can reuse the applicator! September 3, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by For the most part, a good product Great Stuff Window and Door foam performed well enough, but I've used other door and window products that did better. One thing I'm not sure about is that the foam stays pretty soft after curing. Trimming soft and spongy foam is not the easiest thing to do cleanly and accurately. Could be a good thing...may not? I was most surprised that about 3/4 the way through the can, the applied foam started shrinking back quite a bit and not holding or expanding its shape. Substrates and application were the same as the previous applications. For 3/4 of the can, I was happy enough, but think I'll go for a different brand if it is available. June 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Must purchase Foam gun is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I have two, one for adhesive, the other for foam, always ready to go. March 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product, but missing support The pro model of Great Foam is really much more usable than the cans in most cases, but HD doesn't carry all the necessary support products to fully use the system. When you pay good money for a pro tool you'd like it fully supported. HD doesn't carry all the pieces to do so, and I was forced to go to AMAZON to get the rest of the options, like cleaner and the other useful foams available for the system. September 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great stuff is awsome With the gun can control the stream and no wasted foam just close gun and wait till next use make sure gun is closed otherwise your tearing gun apart and cleaning it October 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I use it all the time. Just be careful not to get it on you. Sticky stuff. When used in the proper amount and in the right space it is extremely effective. It is just that it has a tendency to swell out of its location and make a mess really fast. March 25, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Too Many Dud Cans - Window & Door Pro While foaming my windows I've come across way too many dud cans which still have plenty of time before they expire. Nothing more frustrating trying to do a job and dealing with this issue! Dow really needs to look into this. . June 9, 2013
