If you're installing windows, doors or skylights and you're not using GREAT STUFF Window & Door foam sealant, you're probably unaware of a faster, cheaper air-sealing solution. In fact, there are some window and door manufacturers that have tested and endorsed GREAT STUFF Window & Door. It is a minimal-expanding foam with a low pressure build that forms a durable, airtight and water-resistant seal between a window or door frame and its rough opening without bowing or bending the window frames. It's the original window and door draft stopper. How to videos can be located at: http://greatstuff.dow.com/how-to-video/

  • GREAT STUFF Window & Door’s proprietary low-pressure formula is designed not to bow bend window and door frames.
  • Ideal for filling sealing other areas where low-pressure flexible foam is desirable.
  • Provides real insulation value which complements energy efficiency of the window or door. Greater insulating value than chinked fiberglass or caulk.
  • Soft, pliable foam is forgiving, easier to remove if gap is overfilled. Cured foam can be stuffed back into the gap without trimming
  • Repels/deflects water and is tack free in 8 minutes; trims within 1 hour
  • Flexible foam permits expansion and contraction; yellow colored foam is paintable, sandable and stainable
  • Seal and Save:

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 230 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Yep - Great Stuff We just built a new garage and insulated the walls and ceiling. For the windows and doors I wanted to insulate the jams well before drywall and this stuff was perfect. Fills all the gaps and doesn't have the hardening properties of the sister Great Stuff as this is designed for windows and doors. It is a bit difficult to use without making some what of a mess, but practice first. It expands more then you might think. Also, make sure you ject the outside as it may squeeze through cracks to the outside and make a big blob outside as well, so know where it going first. But overall, easy to use, dries and can be trimmed to remove excess. September 17, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Worse than opening a can of worms! I replaced 7 windows and the door wall, all needing to be reinsulated. This stuff is the best product for the job but having not used it previously, I was on the 3rd can before I learned how to control the monster. I recommend you begin by applying much less than you think you'll need. You can always add more after the initial expansion stops, but if you put too much into the gap it will continue to ooze out for 30 minutes or more and cause a god-awful mess on all adjacent surfaces. I also recommend you mask where possible and buy a quart of Acetone for cleanup, it's the only thing that is a solvent, and then only before setting up! Be careful what you apply acetone to, it's nail polish remover! Oh, and wear disposable gloves. I had some of this set up on my hands and like the directions on the can say, cured material on the skin will have to wear off. I had a yellow fungus-like blob on my hands for over a week. Beware. Rated 5 out of 5 by It really is Great Stuff As owner of rental properties, as well as personal residence & funky vacation place, there are numerous uses for this foam sealant. We use it often, because it works beautifully to seal gaps - in this particular instance it was purchased to use in installation of a wall unit air conditioner. Various uses for this easy to apply product. My only complaint is the squirt tube is hard to clean, thereby making use of remainder of can at a later date almost impossible. Therefore, it often becomes an expensive product to use, but still worth the waste, when it comes to the value of the purpose it serves. December 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Windows Sealed! the only issue I had was that despite the best efforts the steam is all but impossible to blow clean and thus clogs. You must use the entire can worth in one great effort. November 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Insulation Easy to Use. Spray and Go. It does all the work for you. September 24, 2014
