Customer Reviews

5/16 in. x 3-1/8 in. Rugged Structural Screw (15-Piece per Pack) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Works! I thought this was too good to be true, but I tried it out anyway, just to see. It works wonderfully for my application, which was mounting a 200 lb capacity rack mount unit to the wall with only two available studs behind drywall. The final weight on the wall, including the rack mount unit and the internal electronic equipment was 168 lbs. I used it instead of the recommended 5/16" lag-bolts-to-studs. It's amazing. You don't have to drill a pilot hole. This screw (lag bolt) drills in like butter and makes its own drill hole whilst the gripping screw flanges come right after (in the same screw). It requires a T-30 bit which excludes any stripping that one might encounter with a regular philips-head. Can't recommend this enough. Really! It's AWESOME!!
