I am replacing an older Grohe from the 90's and my sink hole size is 1 1/4", not 1 3/8.

Suddenly the faucet is very loose, and we cannot figure out how to tighten it. Other videos do not explain the method for this model. There isn't a face plate for ours, and we cannot turn the faucet completely around as shown in a different model's video.

Answer:
There is a 17mm nut under the counter you would tighten. You can e-mail a picture of your faucet to us-techservice@grohe.com and we can verify that this is the model you have and get you installation directions for the faucet.

Grohe Product Expert: Please do not answer this question, similar to previously, as "super steel," Super Steel is not a material. Steel is a material, stainless steel is a material, plastic is a material. Is the exterior housing made of plastic with a color to look like stainless steel?

The spout is brass, lever is zinc/ all plated in steel. The pull out hand spray is ABS plastic plated in "super" steel finish.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Kitchen Faucet - nice looking Easy to install, but had a low flow restrictor. GPM listed on Home Depot site was greater (2.0 GPM) than what was delivered (1.7 GPM). Call the manufacture and they send a new flow restrictor at no charge. February 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good purchase the faucet was easy to install and works great. would buy it again. January 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great faucet Excellent, sturdy faucet. W were replacing a Hansa faucet that held up for 15 yrs. This one is every bit as good. Some complaints about dripping after turning off the spray, but this doesnt bother me, because it is just the residual water that was retained in the spray. Would definitely recommend it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Faucet purchase Excellent service and quick delivery. The product was reasonable in cost and easy to install. December 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Faucet... but problems with delivery I ordered this item on line cuz store did not carry them, when it came in it was missing the spray handle that comes off the front. This was very odd, and we had all the contractors looking around for it throughout the construction site, thinking it fell out of the box. But no one had opened the box since it arrived, and we couldn't find it anywhere, so my plumber called the manufacturer. Apparently they were very obliging and mailed us another faucet head. I had to install the faucet head since the plumber was done and gone by then. Well the instructions were not so accurate and i put the little aerator in backwards, which of course didn't work. So I had a very difficult time trying to pull out the backwards aerator, but I completed the task and it has worked perfectly and looks beautiful. April 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by A Piece of Junk I got the original unit 26 months ago. It failed exactly after one year (or 14 months ago) of service when the hot water connector (to the sprayer) started leaking. I took it back to the store and had a new replacement unit. Installed it and the replacement unit worked for 14 months and this time the sprayer pipe, which is made out of cheap plastics inside, cracked. Now I am debating whether to buy a replacement part or replace the unit entirely. April 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice quality and good looking Needed a low profile faucet for my new kitchen. Love the heft and the look. Perfect for my needs. The one that shipped had a bad sprayer (that's the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars) and the company promptly replaced it. Great German engineering! November 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The Grohe Euro disc kitchen faucet arrived missing parts! It's a good thing I was replacing an existing Grohe faucet so my plumber could cannibalize the parts that were missing with the replacement. The little plastic bag was sealed but two critical parts were not included with the new faucet when it arrived. The pull out sprayer did not work properly upon installation. It dripped from the back. I called Grohe while the plumber was still at my house. After holding for 17 minutes, they agreed to send a replacement sprayer head. My plumber commented on how cheaply made their faucets are made now--parts that used to be brass are now cheap plastic. The "chrome" finish on the Grohe I replaced peeled off to reveal white plastic. Lastly, the water pressure got increasingly worse in the 2 weeks I've owned it. I called Grohe again today about that and they advised me to remove the water restricter in the spray gun. It worked much better without the restricter. Still waiting for my replacement sprayer........ May 1, 2013
