I was little worried with this product since I saw too many bad reviews.
I even went to other company websites to see the review and I found out more bad reviews. However, I found one article mentioning that there is a way to overcome all these problems that was repeatedly reported. So I gave it a try.
Let me be frankly. I like this faucet. No, I LOVE this faucet. (of course, my wife LOVE THIS TOO.)
Installation is little bit tricky but you NEED TO FOLLOW instruction to the details. that is the key to the correct operation. also, please check with website. You need most current instruction. I heard that there are couple different version of it and you need the latest version to prevent malfunctioning.
there was one place that my instruction was different from actual part. It is quite easy to figure it out. you just need to build a L shape connector. (on the instruction, it does not explain building this portion). by the way, I called the customer service to solve this issue. Tech Rep was very kind and patient. she solved my problem in matter of minutes. Very nice customer service team that they are running. You might face some difficulties but manufacturer is backing up their product quite nicely.
Anyway, it was little hard to work with tight under sink, but installing this was not too different from typical faucet. Just little more connections, little more hoses and little more time. If you work carefully with wires, you won't face any problem with automatic on/off.
Most people complained about faucet turning on by itself or turning on when they touch the handle. If you worked carefully with wires. You should be okay. I am not a handy person, but after couple try, it made it work.
turning on by just a simple touch is great.
This faucet gives a water strong flow. I get much strong water flow than my previous faucet. (and less splashing) I do not know how that works but I am really happy with this faucet.
For me it was totally worth getting this.

Installation took about 2 hours, taking my time. It took a bit longer because of the electronic controls - I had to find a good space for it, and there was a bit of time adjusting it. Other than that, it was not difficult. The instructions are clear, and there's an instructional installation video on the manufacturer's site.
This thing looks sleek. Everyone likes it, and comments on how modern it looks. It matches well with the typical brushed stainless steel basin. Functionally I really like it. I have no issues with splashing, but maybe I'm used to it since my previous faucet was also a high-arc. You have to remember that with any high-arc, you'll have a stronger water stream when it hits the sink. The handle is buttery smooth, no wobble or looseness, and it's really easy to regulate the flow down to a trickle. The spray head pulls down smoothly and retracts correctly.
The touch feature is awesome. I never realized how nice it was to have until I installed it. With my traditional faucet, when my hands were dirty, I used to always turn the water on with some awkward motion, using my wrist or the back of my hand, etc. Now it's so much easier! The kids love it too, and they have a little too much fun playing with it.
My only concern is that the spray head is plastic - the rest of the faucet is solid metal, the spray head does not have that solid heft to it. But perhaps there is a reason for that; I suppose you wouldn't want a heavy chunk of metal swinging around and smashing your dishes.
Make sure you read the instructions, or watch the installation video. And take the time to check and adjust things like the touch sensitivity, grounding points, hose retraction, etc. If everything is done right, it works really well.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by RenovationWarrior If you love horrible things, this is the faucet for you!
I did not know it was possible to have such great disdain for something as simple as a kitchen faucet. If I could burn it, I would. I will have to settle for driving over it with my car. I unfortunately purchased 2 of these for my new kitchen and have had a myriad of problems in the month that I've been stuck using them:
1. Turns on by itself every 10 minutes or so. I'm usually in the next room.
2. Even worse, the product design is horribly thought out. In the OFF position, the touch feature activates it. That means you cannot ever stop the unit from turning on when you are away from home. In the ON position, the touch feature does not work. This is completely backwards.
3. Since the touch feature does not work when the faucet is in the ON position, they temperature control is unavailable. It is ALWAYS COLD. Just to be clear, every time you touch the faucet to turn it on it will be ICE COLD water. This is great for washing your hands and dishes in the winter. You can buy a part for $250 that will adjust the temperature UNDER THE SINK. So if you set that to warm and ever want cold water again, you will need to go under the sink to adjust it. No I’m not kidding.
4. On a scale from 1 to 10, the splash factor is 750. Or maybe a thousand. It is like taking a hose and holding it 10 feet above the sink and trying to wash dishes, water goes EVERWHERE. Your counters, your floors, your backsplash, and my favorite, your face.
If you have decided not to buy this faucet, then I will be one step closer to saving another person from wasting the good money that I did.

This is one heck of a project for the life of me it was several fumbles but I did exam the high quality of the parts and still reading up on it via web to correctly put it together The instructions were all pictures and I got lost so I'm basically learning the trade via YouTube and self help. So this review will be upgraded when I finish my education on bacic plumming so acquiring this kit surly is teaching more then just sink-anomics but I can't wait to see myself get this thing working so update to this post coming

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by dcmikez love this faucet, no more need to clean it after cooking
This is a beautiful faucet and we absolutely love the touch feature. It's pretty simple, touch it anywhere with bare flesh and it turns on cold water. This is great if your hands are dirty or oily, removing the need to clean your faucet after you clean your hands.
The faucet installation is pretty complicated, nothing is pre-assembled, but with a slow approach you can do it. The illustrations in the manual aren't the most detailed, but what is these days. The touch feature is a simple capacitor and it's powered by batteries. It should last quite some time before needing to replace them, so that's not a worry. You do have to turn this feature off before you clean the faucet though or else the water will turn on. Since you have to go under the sink to do this, it becomes a bit of a pain, and will likely result in people cleaning it and running water at the same time. This is a waste. Other than that we love this.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PersnicketyME Beautiful, modern, preferred finish and $$$...
This a stunning faucet! Clean, architectural and elegant! There is no doubt that when choosing a faucet that GROHE is the way to go... I do believe that they are unmatched in the industry to heft, quality and luxury. It comes exceptionally well packed so as not to scratch or mar the finish during transport. The high arch design is crucial for any kitchen sink application especially when it comes to the added clearance needed when scrubbing and cleaning all of those BIG deep pots that can't fit in the dishwasher. The handle moves beautifully when adjusting the water temperature and flow speed. The touch-on feature is a very handy feature and it actually works (but note that only cold water is activated with the touch feature to prevent scalding)! This feature comes in especially handy for germaphobe like me especially when you have sticky or raw meat contaminated fingers (ick!)! This faucet is also available in a high polish, mirror like chrome finish that is totally unforgiving with finger prints and water spots however I prefer this "Supersteel Infinity Finish" since hard water spots and stains drive me nuts! No doubt that this is a high-end, sturdily built and beautifully designed faucet but I still think it's a bit costly. You won't regret the purchase of a GROHE just be prepared to pay for it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ThisOldGarageNJ I'm Actually excited about a faucet
Faucets are generally not iin the realm of things that excite me, That being said.... My package arrived quickly from Home Depot as always via UPS. I had read the negative reviews and was a little worried but then reading JunC's review I felt much more comfortable getting the faucet.
I read the install instructions that came with the faucet and also went thru the instructions on the companies website. It wasn't any more difficult installation than a regular faucet with the exception of the touch wiring.
The best advice I can give is if you are a good DIYer and you read and FOLLOW the directions you will find this faucet system installs quite easily. as mentioned in other reviews pay close attention to the wiring,
I installed the faucet in my basement kitchen which is right off the garage.. I can now go down 4 steps, touch the faucet with my elbow and wash my hands without having to clean up the faucet after because I got paint, grease, ect all over it.
The faucet also has a great flow, not over aerated like my old one, the water came out very forcefully and splashed all over. This just has a nice heavy flow......
You wont be dissapointed with this faucet, and remember you can always call Home Depot and have one of their technicians install it,

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SouthernUtahBoy Best upgrade to kitchen sink!
I am the cook in my house, and having the touch activation feature of this faucet is priceless. I cook with a lot of chicken, pork, beef, seafood, and I love being able to wash my hands, and clean off my cutting board without having to touch the faucet with my dirty, contaminated hands. The chance of cross contamination is significantly reduced, in my opinion, and makes preparing a serving food in my kitchen safer, and more enjoyable. The faucet does take a little more time, and a little more patience to install than a standard faucet, but it's worth it. I do wish the spray head was a little bigger, but that is my only complaint against this product. Despite the smaller size, it is still very effective at spraying away food particles and stuck-on grime off my dishes, pots, and pans. Very convenient, and I am glad I installed this upgrade in my kitchen.
