Customer Reviews

Minta Touch Single-Handle Pull-Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in SuperSteel Infinity is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Faucet, but sometimes phantom on issue. This is the highest class faucet I have ever seen. Just a beautiful built piece of plumbing. The operation for the normal activation is smooth and easy to control. I ran into one problem with the handle length, due to close proximity to a thick back splash. Be sure to check out handle throw distance. I would recommend this for a non-metallic sink install. When I tried on a stainless, I got a few phantom activations of the touch sensor. It took a little electrical insulation between the faucet and sink to stop this "ghost" activation. I would expect most installs for a faucet of this quality and price to go into a underhung sink and mounting in the counter. This would eliminate that problem. Looking at other reviews, there are very few phantom activations. Install is more complex than a typical faucet. Take your time on install and it goes easy enough. You will really like using it once you get it in place. It is really a classy faucet. The Super Steel Infinity finish is really sharp looking and I prefer over chrome.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you love horrible things, this is the faucet for you! I did not know it was possible to have such great disdain for something as simple as a kitchen faucet. If I could burn it, I would. I will have to settle for driving over it with my car. I unfortunately purchased 2 of these for my new kitchen and have had a myriad of problems in the month that I've been stuck using them: 1. Turns on by itself every 10 minutes or so. I'm usually in the next room. 2. Even worse, the product design is horribly thought out. In the OFF position, the touch feature activates it. That means you cannot ever stop the unit from turning on when you are away from home. In the ON position, the touch feature does not work. This is completely backwards. 3. Since the touch feature does not work when the faucet is in the ON position, they temperature control is unavailable. It is ALWAYS COLD. Just to be clear, every time you touch the faucet to turn it on it will be ICE COLD water. This is great for washing your hands and dishes in the winter. You can buy a part for $250 that will adjust the temperature UNDER THE SINK. So if you set that to warm and ever want cold water again, you will need to go under the sink to adjust it. No I’m not kidding. 4. On a scale from 1 to 10, the splash factor is 750. Or maybe a thousand. It is like taking a hose and holding it 10 feet above the sink and trying to wash dishes, water goes EVERWHERE. Your counters, your floors, your backsplash, and my favorite, your face. If you have decided not to buy this faucet, then I will be one step closer to saving another person from wasting the good money that I did.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product with some issues This is a beautiful, well made faucet. Unfortunately, the engineering leaves something to be desired. I installed this with the help of my father who is a plumber and it took us some time - there were spacing issues with the wires and hoses and you have to make sure they do not touch, which is hard to do in a tight sink space. We did find some videos online and followed the manual, which wasn't that great to be honest, but after some time (about 90min to 2 hours) we found a way to make it work right. The default touch sensitivity is too sensitive - the faucet would sometimes come on on it's own until I lowered the sensitivity. Another issue is that when using touch you only get cold water, which is not always the best if you prefer to wash your hands (which are dirty, thus using touch) with warm or hot water. On the plus side it is a very strong flow, which is great. Overall, there are issues with the faucet - I think the installation is very hard and complicated (when a typical faucet takes 15-20min), the cold water touch, but once you have it working correctly it is a good product, just not great (which I expected for the price point).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very High Quality Touch Faucet I needed a new Kitchen Faucet and decided on the new Grohe Minta Touch Single-Handle Pull Down Sprayer Kitchen Faucet in Starlight Chrome. The Grohe Minta Faucet is solid brass construction and precisely made in Germany. After using the faucet for several weeks, I am very impressed with it’s functionality, quality and aesthetics. The installation instructions include very good illustrative figures, but written step-by-step procedures are lacking. At first site, installation looks like a daunting task with all of the unfamiliar hoses and electrical equipment. However, it is not that complicated and can be accomplished with a few basic tools. A splitter connection is installed at the cold water tap, where one line is routed to the faucet through a solenoid switch that must be wall-mounted within 1 foot from the faucet. The other end of the splitter from the cold water line goes directly to the faucet, and the hot water line connects directly to the faucet. The touch function works very smoothly, and the touch sensitivity can be adjusted at the solenoid switch. Providing a good ground to the sink is important for proper touch function. The water flow is also very strong and the pull-down sprayer works very good. Overall, I am very pleased with the Grohe Minta Touch Faucet. It is a high quality product and performs flawlessly. Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Faucet The faucet looks great and works well. It takes a couple days to get used to the touch function, now it is natural. The touch works every time you touch it (the sensitivity is perfect). The one thing about this - the touch function only works with cold water. Which is great when I want a glass of water. But if you want all temperatures, you have to buy a different faucet or add on a $250 unit. One suggestion - the braided water supply lines are metal - and they operate the touch function. So you need to be sure they do not touch each other or that they are touched when you are under the sink. I wrapped my supply lines to ensure they did not accidentally activate the touch function - you might want to wrap them before you install them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This product is useless Touch feature is not going to give you warm or hot water. It will give you only cold water. Groh customer service is not going to response you either. Touch senser is so sensitive what ever you put on 2 or 3 level as per other post you won't get good result. I'm going to return this product and going to try delta touch faucet which can allow to set flow and warm or hot water for touch feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great, Works Great Installation took about 2 hours, taking my time. It took a bit longer because of the electronic controls - I had to find a good space for it, and there was a bit of time adjusting it. Other than that, it was not difficult. The instructions are clear, and there's an instructional installation video on the manufacturer's site. This thing looks sleek. Everyone likes it, and comments on how modern it looks. It matches well with the typical brushed stainless steel basin. Functionally I really like it. I have no issues with splashing, but maybe I'm used to it since my previous faucet was also a high-arc. You have to remember that with any high-arc, you'll have a stronger water stream when it hits the sink. The handle is buttery smooth, no wobble or looseness, and it's really easy to regulate the flow down to a trickle. The spray head pulls down smoothly and retracts correctly. The touch feature is awesome. I never realized how nice it was to have until I installed it. With my traditional faucet, when my hands were dirty, I used to always turn the water on with some awkward motion, using my wrist or the back of my hand, etc. Now it's so much easier! The kids love it too, and they have a little too much fun playing with it. My only concern is that the spray head is plastic - the rest of the faucet is solid metal, the spray head does not have that solid heft to it. But perhaps there is a reason for that; I suppose you wouldn't want a heavy chunk of metal swinging around and smashing your dishes. Make sure you read the instructions, or watch the installation video. And take the time to check and adjust things like the touch sensitivity, grounding points, hose retraction, etc. If everything is done right, it works really well.
