Product Overview

This DLG2-972LS set contains 2 Gama Sonic DL-792LS rechargeable, portable lanterns and 2 AC adapters. The DL-792LS is a versatile household utility light that can function as a work light, a camping lantern, an emergency light, or a very bright flashlight. The unit has 2 modes. Set the DL-972LS to 24-LED mode for use as a lantern for up to 6 hours on a full charge of its internal, rechargeable battery. Or set it to single high-beam mode for use as a very bright LED flashlight for up to 35 hours. To charge the battery, just plug the unit it with the included AC adapter and leave it until you need it. Built-in overcharge protection stops current from flowing to the battery once it's fully charged. As an extra benefit for household safety, when the DL-972LS is plugged in, the light will turn on automatically in the event of power loss. For worldwide travelers, the adapter can handle up to 230-Volt input (though you'll need a prong converter for the adapter to fit non-US electrical outlets). The DL-972LS also has a backup compartment for three standard AA batteries so that you can keep using the light in situations when you aren't able to recharge the internal battery. The Gama Sonic DL-972LS is far brighter than a standard flashlight but still has a convenient carrying handle for easy portability and a manual on/off switch so that you can use the light as needed. With two DL-972LS units in this set, you're double covered for a wide range of functions.

  • Set of 2 portable, rechargeable lights for camping trips, nighttime walks, looking around a dark shed or basement, mechanic work, emergencies, or any other time when you need extra light
  • Use as a bright-white 24-LED lantern or a single high-beam LED flashlight
  • Internal, rechargeable battery powers lantern mode for 6 hours on a full charge, flashlight mode for 35 hours; or run off 3 conventional AA batteries
  • Leave plugged into any electrical outlet for charging - turns on automatically if power goes out but doesn't draw power if the battery is full
  • Convenient carrying handle and on/off switch mean you can use the lantern anytime, anywhere you need it

I was given these lanterns as a gift, and notice that their batteries are lead-acid. I know that car batteries should not be charged in the house b/c of vapors etc., but these are not car batteries - are these safe to be kept/charged in the house? Thank you!
Asked by: spaceghost
Hi Spaceghost, Yes, these lights are safe to keep charged in the house. The batteries are sealed lead acid and are non-hazmat. Thank you, Gama Sonic
