24 in. Light My Shed 2 Solar Powered Shed Light with 24 Solar LED Bulbs-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy install and plenty of light Got this light for my new 10'x14' shed. Install was easy, just 5 screws and 1 hole in total. The line between the solar panel unit and the light is 10', so you have plenty of options on where to put the light. The light itself easily lights my shed at night. The color is a bit cold, but it is a shed, right? Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it is still new, so its longevity is still up in the air. I rarely give full marks unless something is far and away better than I expected. This seems to be a great product so far.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Brighter than others, price is good, easy install, I like it! It is all plastic but is fairly sturdy and well built. It comes with a rechargeable battery pack and has a compartment to put additional rechargeable batteries in, as spares I guess. The instruction sheet is minimal but the install is intuitive. I have not tested the life of the batteries so I can't comment on how long they can keep the lights lit. There is an On/Off switch and a 12" pull cord switch. When the switch is On, the pull cord turns the light on and off. The power cord to connect the solar panel to the light unit is ten feet long which is good for most any area that this light could illuminate. I'm using it in a 10Wx14Lx9H shed. It provides about as much light as a 15 to 20 Watt incandescent bulb. The solar panel mounts easily with the included hardware. The hardware kit contains enough screws and lengths to mount to any type of construction. The solar panel mounts by drilling one hole for the power cord and the three mounting screws. The light itself has several mounting options, depending on your wall construction. The solar panel has the nice features of a compass and east/west markings on it as well as the ability to tilt for maximum sun exposure. I bought two units. The first one is installed and it works well. The second unit had a faulty pull-cord switch and has been returned for a replacement which works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect solution for tree house I built a tree house for my kids, and for various reasons did not want to put in live electrical wire. I was wary of the mostly bad reviews for this shed light but was willing to give it a try. Installation was very easy. The connector cord is not too long which restricted my options for placing the solar cell a little bit but worst case I would have just extended the wire. The lamp is very bright and lasts for a bit more than the advertised two hours after a full charge. The solar cell is extremely sensitive and starts charging the battery on an overcast day even when the cell is not directly facing the sun. The red charge indicator is very nice but could certainly be made a bit dimmer to direct more of the precious energy to the charging. I have positioned the solar cell roughly to the south, and somewhere in between summer and winter sun angle. I don't think i need to adjust it more. I am very happy with the purchase, and the kids just love it for their overnighters in the tree house

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Install but Don't Follow the Instructions - Use Common Sense This light was easy to install but the instructions were unclear. However, they send you a "boat load" of different types of screws and bolts for all kinds of situations. I had more than enough types of screws to mount the light. Also, don't mount your light first until you charge it - use the panel and put it outside for a while to charge. Don't mount your light until you test the location of the light in your shed. It does not throw a lot of light but it's good for quick work. Placing it in the wrong spot will disappoint you. We tested out light in 5 different positions before we decided where to mount the light. Once you decide where to mount the light, that will dictate to where you'll mount the solar panel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says It was a VERY easy install and it lights my whole shed perfectly with a bright light! Getting the snowblower out in the early morning darkness this winter will be no problem at all! Overall very, very satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 24 LED'S ARE BETTER THAN 5 LED'S I originally purchased a Sunforce Solar Shed Light with 5 LED's (450 lumens) and discovered it wasn't bright enough. I returned it and purchased this device with 24 LED's. More expensive BUT much brighter even though there is no lumen output in the specifications (let's "assume" 2160 lumens). I like the red indicator charging light so that I know that it is being charged. I also like the amber "night light" as well making it easier to find the on-off pull cord in the dark. However, I think the on-off slide switch is somewhat redundant. Trying to get the screws to line up on the deeply recessed anchor holes in the base was the biggest problem. Get a long, magnetic cross-slot screwdriver. You'll be glad you did.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple to Install and Works Great I installed this light in a 10' x 16' machinery shed in my yard. I put the solar panel on the back corner facing south, and had plenty of cord to run power to the light mounted just inside the door. The LED"s provide good illumination, certainly enough to find everything at night and about enough to do some simple tasks. I might buy another one for my garden shed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install, battery came pre-charged. LED lights are nice and bright! Gives off much more light than the fluorescent model we had previously. Highly recommend this model!
