Customer Questions & Answers

What is the ratio of Neem Oil to water?

Like: 1 oz of Neem to 1 gal. of water.
Asked by: MuseCat
It depends on what type of plant you are spraying and type of infestation. There is an excellent mixing guide attached to the bottle with complete instructions. I used this product on powdery mildew on my shrubs and used 2TBSP per gallon. It is potent stuff! Doesn't take much!

Is this safe to put a capful in your bath water?

Asked by: Sam
No. This is an oil for your plants, not for bathing or topical applications.

What is meant by "control fleas"? Is it a prevention, or does it eliminate them? Does it interrupt their life cycle to prevent them from reproducing

Asked by: Jiffy
It kills the nymphs that hatch. More like population control by eliminating the young from reaching adulthood.

will neem oil control or kill fleas?

Asked by: Jiffy
I'm pretty sure the oil will repeal fleas, not necessarily kill them.

16 oz. Neem Oil Extract Concentrate is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe, Effective, Non-Toxic When Dried I use Neem Oils in my garden for control on just about every pest and fungal problem. Insecticidal soaps target only what you need to address. In the pictures, my current issue is spider mites and leaf hoppers. Mix the Neem Oil as instructed; spray and saturate the infected leaves, spray the surrounding leaves, infected or not. Allow to dry before allowing pets and children in the area. The Neem Oil won't kill the adults, but instead targets the nymphs when they hatch out. Eventually the population dies off and the beneficial insects are unharmed. Neem Oil also works great on powdery mildew.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Help make Your Trees and garden Healthier This Fall was problematic with garden diseases and insect infestation on my schrubs and trees. Local experts recommended spraying Neem Oil Extract on them to control diseases. I have done 2 applications on my plants thus far. I plan one more application before winter. The results have been excellent, the plants look healthier and the insect infestation is gone. Garden Safe Neem Oil has been beneficial. If you are in need of an Insecticide, Fungicide and/or Miticide take a look at Garden Safe Neem Oil. Importantly, make sure to follow the label instructions for the best results. I'm sure I will see the results from the Neem Oil applications next spring when everything starts to bloom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Neem Oil Extract Concentrate I spray Neem oil extract around the front porch & back patio to repell bugs & mosquitoes. I have used it inside our shop and the garage for spiders and on the lawn for fleas without worrying that this stuff will hurt our pet. In the spring, I have sprayed it on my crepe myrtles and gardenias to prevent aphids and other bugs. This product is not difficult to mix & is easily applied with a pressure sprayer. Smells a bit like oranges? It does not have a strong chemical smell. But it generally has to be applied more than once within a certain amount of time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buy cold pressed Neem oil instead of this There are two types of Neem Oil on the organic gardening market - cold pressed containing azadaractine and clarified hydrophobic extract of neem oil which does not contain azadiractine. Azadiractine is a feeding inhibitor and growth suppressant of feeding or sucking insects. Without azadiractine, its insecticidal properties are greatly reduced. This product is not cold pressed so therefore is missing the azadiractine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Safe and effective alternative to insecticides! Have heard great things about Neem Oil over the years. Never actually tried it until recently because I had a problem with insects eating my tomatoes! One of my coworkers would bring large red shiny tomatoes to work to share with us, and I asked her how she accomplishes this, because my tomatoes were all eaten up by the time they turned red! She said Neem Oil! So I went ahead and got some and wow it's a God-send! So many great uses, for so many diseases and bugs, plus environmentally friendly ... I definitely prefer this over chemical insecticides! Definitely recommend ... and I'll be buying more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No bad bugs yet! We mixed this spray according to the instructions on the bottle and the website and have sprayed it all over the yard. We sprayed our orange tree to make sure we didn't have problems with the little black aphids that have attacked the tree in the past. So far this year, we have not seen the same amount of activity with the bugs as we did in years past. As with any chemical (even semi natural ones) I suggest wearing long sleeves, long pants, gloves and a face mask so that you are not in contact with the chemicals. It does not have an unpleasant odor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kills those little monsters on your shrubs! Garden Safe Neem Oil Extract Concentrate for Organic Gardening is an ideal product for organic gardeners but I use it on my front yard shrubs. We have a problem with powdery mildew invading our Variegated Privet shrubs. I found it is more effective than anything else I have tried. It is an insecticide, fungicide, and miticide, all in one formula. Controls aphids, whiteflies, (and many others that are listed on the packaging information), controls black spot, rust, powdery mildew, and spider mites. It is for use on roses, flowers, houseplants, ornamental trees & shrubs, fruits & vegetables. If you are a gardener, this product can be used up to the day of harvest. It is an oil- based solution so it is recommended to use at early morning or late evening to prevent leaf burn. Do not apply to sensitive flowers, i.e., impatiens, fuchsia, hibiscus, some roses, oriental olive trees, or some carnations without prior testing. There are complete directions for mixing and usage on a fold out attached to the bottle. For powdery mildew I use 2 TBSP per gallon of water. This product has worked great on the powdery mildew problem we had this summer. It completely eliminated the mildew on the shrubs on one side of my porch but was tougher to eliminate on the other side. I had to spray that side several times but the infestation was very heavy. There are no signs of powdery mildew on any of my bushes at this time. This product controlled and eliminated my problem. I highly recommend this product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spring Has Spung, All Right I've lived in my house for 6 months after the original owners of 20 years moved out. I keep hearing about how she had beautiful flowers... wonderful roses. I do not have a green thumb, but I try, and I thought I should do whatever I could to keep the existing plantings looking nice. I had ordered this to keep in my arsenal--having reading about organic pest control--and after the first few weeks of warm weather I saw the roses COVERED in aphids! I'm glad I already had it on hand, that I grabbed the sprayer and and went to work. Since it works my smothering, it was hard to tell if it really did anything since the bugs didn't scatter. After a week, there were still plenty and I sprayed another round. And there were even fewer the next week, and the flowers don't seem to mind. The jury is still out, but for now this works pretty well. Time will tell.
