I tried to use them for a fence since my dog only weighs 10 lbs. He could break them easily. I think they would break even if you tried to stake tomato plants to them. Just to thin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good value for your money. although the description says 10 pack it is actually a 6 pack of the stakes. they are still worth the money. I made a bean teepee trellis for my garden and they look great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Bow Maker's Friend I love these. I have been making bows for some time, and have slowly been getting away from the archery shops as things get very expensive, even for a maker and user of primitive(no fancy extras) longbows. I've been getting back to nature for my bowmaking, and bought these stakes originally for propping up my newly sprouted flax for making bowstrings. That's when I had the idea of making arrows out of them. About five minutes over the stove to straighten them, and twenty minutes to fit them with nocks, feathers, and tips, and I had half a dozen arrows that work as well as my other $20-$50 arrows. After thinking about it, I took one bag of these stakes, and in about ten minutes, some sawing, and twenty strips of duct tape later, I had a fine, 25# longbow, perfect for my wife to shoot with me at the range. These stakes have a lot of uses, and I'm glad I picked some up to support my flax, or I would never have found these hidden gems. These are definitely worth the money as garden stakes and for making your own archery tackle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well for determinate tomatoes grown in pots These stakes (which I bought at my local Home Depot garden center) work well for the tomatoes I am growing in five gallon pots. I use them only for determinate tomatoes as the indeterminate ones can grown very tall and become quite heavy. For those I use sturdy cages. I am growing ten determinate tomatoes for fall in buckets (which I have drilled holes in for drainage. I use three each of the bamboo stakes to form a teepee around the bucket. These are just strong enough to work well. Once our season is over, I will take apart the teepee and have them ready for next spring. Great value for the money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not labled length I purchased this item hoping to use the stakes as dividers in a 6' raised bed garden. Unfortunately I could not attach them to the frame as they were all well short of the advertised 72" length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Attractive and functional I used these for staking some houseplants. They did the job well and looked good too - blending well with the plants. Did not stick out like a sore thumb.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value We used these last year in our raised vegetable garden as a teepee trellis laced with twine for our peas. They worked wonderfully. We also cut some to make tomato cages because we were looking for a budget friendly alternative to the metal ones. They held up really well, very strong. Our tomato plants got about 5 feet tall so we did end up using thicker wooden stakes for better support, but with the proper design I think the bamboo would suffice. All of the stakes were the correct length (6ft), however some of them did have thinner tips than the stated diameter. That wasn't a problem for us, we just put those ends at the tops of our teepees. We are buying more this year to build proper cages for tomatoes and support for our peppers. When cutting, I believe my husband used a saw with a thinner blade for a cleaner cut, but I'm not completely sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bamboo Stakes The stakes are perfect for my climbing clematis plants. I looked into other methods to have them climb but found these to be the most economical. I use 4 for each plant in a teepee style tied to my trellis. I love that they are tall.
