Rated 5 out of 5Â by PatB EXCEEDS MY EXPECTATIONS
Needed to replace a $200 patio heater I bought 4 years ago. Was hesitant to purchase this one because of the low price and some of the comments I read. Glad my intuition won and I purchased it. It was easy to assemble (and I am a 65-year-old female), it is very attractive and, once I realized that the pilot knob needs to be turned all the way to the stopping point, it lights the first time, every time. I spend a lot of time outside, so I turn it on more than 5 times a day. It puts out great heat so, unless it is 30 degrees or less outside, I turn it to a lower position and don't use as much propane. Very happy with this heater.

We love using this product. Was very happy with product and easy to put together. We use this quite often and the heat area is wider than I thought so it's nice that you don't have to actually be sitting right under it! Very inexpensive compared to other heaters I had looked at. Might be buying another one for the other side of the patio :) We truly enjoy this on the patio for morning coffee and in the evening for watching TV on the back porch...

The only drawback to this unit is that the regulator assembly is straight off the tank and therefore causes chaffing of the gas hose when the body is lowered. It should have had a 90 degree elbow off the tank which would have prevented that. Assembly was about an hour and it fired right up. Great unit for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by OutdoorGuy Easy assemby and easy to start
Bought the unit this morning and assembled it this afternoon. Instructions are very good and easy to follow. Biggest problem was removing rubbery plastic coating on the heat deflector prior to assembly. Had read a few negative reviews on the ignitor and starting mechanism. There was no problem with either and starting is fairly simple if you follow the directions. There is plenty of slack on the hose that connects to the propane tank. Suggestion, to avoid complaints by others that the angle of the connector is not favorable, connect the tank to the hose while it is outside the unit. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONNECT THE TANK AFTER PLACING IT INSIDE THE HOUSING.....FAR MORE DIFFICULT

we have purchased and assembled a half dozen or so propane patio warmers. this is like all the others except: (1) there is no weight at the bottom to stabilize it. all of the others had a sealed based for emplacing sand for weight. this one wants to be bolted down to my deck - immovable. bad. i will find a way to weight the bottom. (2) the four piece reflector looks like all the others we've had (except for when we've had one piece reflectors), but the pieces are lighter, flimsier, and do not fit well together. the reflector will reflect, but it does not look very good. it is cheap, sloppy.
