I have fiberglass and metal roof panels on a shed, can this product be used on both the metal and fiberglass panels with the same results? I've used it before on plain metal roofs with great success but I just don't know. Thanks

Answer:
This product will work well on the metal roof panels. Regarding the fiberglass, it depends. Fiberglass is a reinforcement for asphalt and plastic roof panels. The Aluminum coating is a solvent based product that may degrade the plastic roof panels, so I can't recommend that not knowing the exact substrate.
Another option would be to consider the Sta-Kool 780 White Elastomeric Roof Coating or Eterna-Kote

Another option would be to consider the Sta-Kool 780 White Elastomeric Roof Coating or Eterna-Kote Silicone Roof Coating. Both these products should be compatible with the surfaces you described. I recommend you always test a small section first to ensure compatibility.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I would by this product again. I like that it was a Class A fire retardant, with fiberglass reinforcement. This product stopped the chimney flashing seep that I have been fighting to correct for over a year in one application. Looks great, easy to use, free delivery to the house, and messy to use (use a brush with short bristles, cover all skin with through away cloths, and wear latex / vinyl disposable gloves). I have a few complaints: After I was finished there is still over 4 gallons left. I would like to see this product sold in one gallon cans. I would like to see this product sold in any NH stores. I would like to see the product sold in a copper color. September 5, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Too soon to completely review Easy to apply, although requires lots of mixing. How well it performs remains to be seen. Since it is commercial grade, I am hoping that it will last at least 5 years. April 10, 2012
