I was hopeful when receiving this product it would stand the test of time, unfortunately it didn't even last a year. I pressure washed the fence a week prior to application and gave the wood plenty of time to dry in the Florida sun before applying the paint. Not only did the paint not last, it removed a majority of the original paint as it started to deteriorate, so the fence now looks worse then it did before painting it. It was a true disappointment since I knew preparation was the key but it didn't seem to help at all. $75 hard earned dollars wasted but it did look good for the first few months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Product took two coats and has a strong odor. I had to use a mask even though I was outside. This product is supposed to extend the life of the fence post. It was bought to paint on the bottom 31/2 feet of the fence post and cured before they were placed in the ground to help keep them from rotting and to help keep insects from eating the wood. It is supposed to extend the life of the post so I will see if it works. I will be painting the tops of all the post to keep water and insects from rotting the top of the posts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huckaberry Found the deliverly to my house fast. Product application works best with a good roller. Can be a bit messy. Will see how it holds up with time. Will order more. I have a lot of fence

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely beautiful but messy This paint is exactly what we had hoped for! We are in the south, it is hot, it rains a lot, and tons of humidity. Wood fences do not last too long here. This paint really seals the wood better than expected! Have tried other stains and paints for our horse fences, but this is the only one I will use from now on. Envision thick sticky black tar, that is what the substance resembles. Do Invest in tons of gloves and lots of paint brushes, and anticipate scrubbing your skin where it touches. It is truely water proof, and thick black substance, but perfect to do the Job right. If applied evenly, it only takes one coat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality, Requires hand painting & rolling, no spraying On our horse farm, tons of fencing. Save your sprayer for something else. This product has a bit of a learning curve, but the key is not to go over what you just painted. Let it dry for the 8 hours or you pull the paint off. What worked for us is a short (8") roller with medium nap, and a bunch of foam and bristle disposable brushes...load up the roller and work quickly, then fill in with your brushes. Wear rubber gloves Works like a charm. The end result rehabilitated some fence we thought we would replace. Looks fantastic and will hold up well. And the price makes is reasonable to pay a few helpers... we really like the end result. Makes old board fence look like Kentucky Horse Park.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Asphalt Fence Paint used on railroad tie wall and steps This is my first time use of this product on an old railroad tie retaining wall and steps. The products I had used previously are no longer available and this Asphalt Fence Paint was the only thing I could find. After powerwashing I applied it with brushes. Because the product is so thick I had to do a lot of working to get it into the surface irregularities. However it was too thick to get into the deeper cracks and joints in the ties. It would help if the product were a little thinner. It dried to a hard somewhat shiny finish and as of now (a few weeks) looks very good. The five gallon container gave me enough for one coat. I was concerned applying to the railroad tie steps since the product literature states that it is not intended for areas with foot traffic. I will have to wait to see about durability but the steps are only infrequently used. So far I am very satisfied as shown by the ratings. I discarded the brushes rather than try to clean them so I cannot say anything about cleanup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this stain/paint Goes on dark brown but dries a beautiful black. I brushed it on as I think it was too thick to spray. It's gorgeous
