Customer Questions & Answers

Concerning product below, will it suffice for both exposed exposed styrofoam foundation insulation and a rubber membrane roof?

Gardner Heavy-Duty Non-Fibered Foundation Coating Model # 0135-GA Store SKU # 910143
Asked by: Anonymous
The Heavy Duty Foundation coating needs to completely dry before having the foam board put next to it. The solvents must dry out first or they will attack and degrade the foam. Same with a true rubber roof.

If this product is applied to pine fence posts how many years will it add to the life of the post?

Asked by: Jakes
This product is designed for below grade and ideal to coat footings. If used in that application it will help prevent rot and decay. The wood will be much better protected, but we can't estimate an improved life expectancy as we do not know the environment it will be used in. It will definitely last much longer than with no coating.

I am patching som potholes in our parking lot with some bagged asphaly from Home Depot.

I am going to clean out the hole good & think I should coat the inside of the hole with Tar to help seal it & keep water from intering the patched area. I don't want water to seep through into the base below the patch. What do you think of this process. PS. The area where we are patching the Potholes has a tendency to hold water for a while after a rain.
