Customer Questions & Answers

can the rooled roof be applied to glue over wood or do you need a felt paper layer applied b-4 the rolled roofing is installed

Asked by: jg
To save money from purchasing the rolled felt paper I have tried that. Not worth it. The felt does not cost as much as patching holes and having to redo the roof as I am.

I am ready to put down Type 30 ASTM felt on my roof before I put the metal roof on. Can I use this product on just the edges as an adhesive?

I don't really have enough information to answer your question. For instance what substrate will you be applying the No. 30 felt to? Do you want to adhere the felt to the substrate or to itself?

can it be used if roof is wet

Hello dale and thank you for your question. Your roll roofing will need to be applied to a clean, dry, smooth, and damage-free surface. For best results, the Gardner Rolled Roof Adhesive should be applied on a clear warm day with no rain forecasted for 24-36 hours. Precautions, safety tips, and instructions can be found here: Tips for building a roof with roll roofing can be found here: Best wishes on your project.

Hello and thank you for your question. You 're better of using roof tar.Roll roofing adhesive is very thin and it would simply run off the roof.See related product for the image of the recommended product. Hope this helps.
