This whole box is not worth 10 cents. I'm wondering if the people who marketed these as electrical stapes even tried to use them before selling them. They won't go in unless you hit them really hard... Hard enough to bend them and break the yellow coating...

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WireMan Worst Insulated Staples I Ever Used
I have used quite a few insulated staples for NM cable over the years and these staples are the worst ever, especially in old harder wood. They bend out of shape very easily and have to be gingerly pounded to keep them from deforming. The coating deflects hammer blows to add to the problem of pounding them in straight and the soft PVC coating cannot stand up to the number of blows necessary to seat it in old harder wood. They look like a great idea but they are garbage. Use the ones with the blue poly insulator, work much much better.

I can't get these staples through any sort of wood without them getting all gnarly. They are without a doubt useless. The only thing they will go through without getting ruined is Styrofoam.

the metal in this staples are so soft that one blow with the hammer and it goes the wrong way and bended in the middle. I will not recommend this product to anybody.

I really like that these staples are insulated. Just another precaution.
