im trying to run security cables along the exterior of my house, will these work? and are they rust proof?

Answer: 
These are our standard metal staples; they are not corrosion resistant or rust proof. You would need the PS-50 style which is zinc plated with a plastic strap. Both types are secured with a hammer.

Five bent up like pretzels but good enough to hold the wire, and four had to be pulled because they were useless. Returning the whole thing - the extra trip will be less work than getting staples made of better metal. January 10, 2016
