No. You will need a tapcon screw and a strap, or a plastic anchor, screw and strap.

I have bought 3 of these over the years--not because I love them so much, but because they stop working. The staples keep getting jammed. There is a tongue that lifts up, a staple is pushed underneath, and then the tongue presses the staple into the wood. After a little bit of usage, the tongue starts to go past the staple, rather than down onto it, and it jams. Despite those problems, I keep using these because they make stapling a fast, one-handed task, the staples are insulated. Also, the staples stay in the wood much better than the far bigger gauge regular staples that hammered in.

It comes with a lifetime guarantee, but I can't find the receipt, and for $35.00 I'm not going to worry about it. I just wish it was possible to load more staples into it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Misfire Every time I shoot a staple out it is a surprise whether or not it will actually shoot a staple. Feeder never wants to stay locked in.

I was worried about a stapler that wasn't pneumatic because every one I have ever tried that wasn't pneumatic was not powerful enough. Same is true here. This may be a little stronger than a typical mechanical stapler, because the handle is difficult to push if you aren't holding it correctly. If you were running wires on a wall, you would always have enough access to get a good grip and leverage. But on a ladder, between studs with some obstructions, I had a lot of trouble even getting the stapler to activate. Most staples didn't go in all the way and I had to go back with a hammer and hit them in further. A regular pneumatic stapler has the problem of potentially damaging the wire insulation, so I like the idea of the trough design on the bottom that holds the wire. The plastic insulated staples also seem like a good idea, but in reality it just didn't work that well for me. I only used it for 1 project, maybe 2 sticks of staples. Stapling wires is always a pain for me, so even with this device not working as I hoped, I probably will keep it. But I wouldn't suggest buying this expecting it to solve all your wire attachment problems. It probably won't.
