Failed in the first day of use. Did 10 staples without a problem. Every staple after that, one leg would go in, the other would double up or splay out to the side.

This stapler with the 1/4" staples made the job of doing a clean installation of a cat5e along a baseboard and up a plaster wall to extend a LAN connection to another room so much easier. Forget about using nail-on staples or tie-wraps with adhesive anchors which are unsightly and don't anchor well to plaster walls. Once installed, the staple is able to hold the cable in place yet with enough room to slide so there is no danger of damaging the cable. I'm looking forward to using this stapler for other low voltage cable runs in my house and garage.

Low voltage wire can often be shorted out to cause disrupted continuity and alot of frustration if fastened with standard staplers clinching the wire's insulation too tightly. This stapler uses shaped staples that cradle the wire without pinching.
Garage door openers functioning improperly or intermittently from remote wired buttons can be a cause of pinched low voltage wires due to improper installation. People take shortcuts with the many feet of wire involved with the remote location buttons and safety features. Over the long run, it's worth investing in a proper stapler if hoping to save time and not cause harm to the wiring.
This stapler functions flawlessly without jams and I highly recommend it to anyone installing garage door openers, doorbells, Christmas lights(the staples pull out easily with needle nose pliers for removal), and anything else a creative mind can find for the use of the shaped staples. I've even used these, carefully, for holding glass in frames and when fixing the backboards into picture frames by just bending the staple securely. The uses can be many and not limited to just fastening wire low voltage wire.

I purchased this item to use when running CAT5e cable. It was not used hard or frequently. Had it about 3 months. One day it would not staple. I thought it was out of staples so I decided to reload. To my surprise it was more than half full. After further examination I found out that a piece that holds the spring tight was broken so the staples would not feed to the front. I liked the way the thing worked, when it worked, so I bought another one. This one lasted about 4 months before the same thing happened. I am now stuck with two boxes of staples almost full and no staple gun to use them in.

I purchased this staple gun about a year ago and also purchased two other units for other Techs in our company. They have worked without issues and are always in the tool bag. I have probably put 5-6 boxes of staples through the unit without any jams or other problems. If the spring strength was a bit better and could get staples into harder surfaces a bit better, I would give the unit 5 stars.
