It took two people to install the towel rack, because it's necessary to put up one side (after the mounts were installed), insert both towel bars, hold them and slide them into the other side before it is attached. It took two people just to hold the unit together while tightening the fitting screw on the second side. That was a tough squeeze when working with a 6'5" man.
After installation, I put the two towels on the bars, and found that the lower, front bar falls out easily. This is due to the fact that the two arms that hold the bar pivet, regardless of how tight the mounting screws are.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by longslim Great materials, install can be tricky, but easy.
Before you install this you need to tighten the screw on the back of the brackets to make sure they don't shift around. They are not tight enough from the factory. Align the bracket with the little set screw on the bottom and tighten the screw from the back (hard). Then the install goes very smoothly. This will avoid the other issues in the write-ups about the bars moving and falling out. Use the measuring template on the back of the box and it's a piece of cake. Made of solid materials and very clean and neat looking.. :-).

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by TommyBoy1165 Style and Substance but...
This towel bar is exactly what I was expecting (since I mail-ordered it and had no tangible example to work from). It is of decent quality and attractive. My only complaint is that the ends do not stay put despite cranking down (as much as I dare) on the hex head screws that secure them to their mounting brackets. We've already had occasions where the horizontal bars fell to the floor as a towel was being hung, because one of the ends strayed by as much as an 1/8" from its vertical setting. If you're mindful of it, it's not a big deal...but you shouldn't have to be mindful of it. I may apply a dab of Gorilla Glue to either end and be done with it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by extrachunk Awful towel bar that is always falling apart
The style is very appealing to me, but I'm very, very disappointed in this product — the rolling bars are always falling off the holders and is forcing us to glue them in permanent. Very badly designed and not very solid feeling (it's not made of brass). The two bar portion also looks a little weird. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for. Pass!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jimmy On my third towel bar!
We have the whole Franciscan set and I like the way these towel bars look - but they are very difficult to make secure. The double bar will give you the most trouble. The outer bar will fall off after a short time as the bar loosens up with use. The whole thing is held together by tiny set screws. If my wife didn't like these things I would have tossed them years ago.

I am pleased with this product. It serves the purpose I got it for. The only problem I would mention is that the lower bar turns too much in its brackets.

We were matching this double rack to our other pieces (toilet roll holder, faucet handles, etc). We were fully satisfied.

Installed by 25 year experienced carpenter. Unit fell apart when one bath towel was placed on it. Very, very cheaply made.
