Does this only fit a 72 in span or will it also fit 60in?

Asked by: curious
Yes it will fit a smaller than 72" span. You'll just need a hacksaw to cut it to fit.

Can the flanges be screwed through ceramic tile and hold up the rod or not?

Asked by: Dee

can this be mounted on tile? And, is there a cheaper bronze fixed rod? Couldn't find one

This rod needs to go over a standard size bathtub with a tile surround. Rod needs to be mounted on tile or it will be too high and standard shower curtains won't fit.
Asked by: Meems

Does this product come with the curtain rings shown?

Asked by: SH
No, the curtain rings are not included.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy and well made I was tired of our old tension mounted shower rod slipping and moving, so I wanted to switch to a permenant mounted version. I was surprised to find that the only ones stocked in most stores are the curved version, which wouldn't work well in our small bathroom. This one is well built and sturdy. The bronze finish looks nice and the brass rod should last a long time. I was surprised to find that the rod comes in 2 pieces. But the way it goes together does not create the hump that catches the shower curtain rings. Installation was a little difficult and it did not come with any instructions. Make sure you have a pipe cutter and measure carefully.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Product! High quality shower rod - nice and heavy. Only drawback - rod comes in two halves that are fitted together. It's difficult to tell that the rod is in two parts once it's installed, but I was surprised at this feature when I opened the box.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product as described, but installation could be difficult Well made and color as described. Installation instructions were a little limited, but it's not a difficult install unless you have to cut rod to proper length (description doesn't mention adjustment for length). With proper install it is very sturdy and can hold a heavy shower curtain. Overall a very nice curtain rod. The price is a little more than for others I have purchased of similar quality, but this rod won't be falling down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice The only negative I can think of is that it's not a 1 piece solid bar. The description had me confused as it's listed as 72x42" or something like that. The bar is actually in 2 pieces, and you cut one of them to fit your needs. It works, and it looks nice as there is no jumpy seem as the 2 pieces fit together flush. It just wasn't what I was expecting and description either didn't mention that aspect or was vague. In the end I doubt the joint strength will be an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty-Good Fit and Finish Well thought out and easy to install for anyone with the right tools and the will to do it right. I would not recommend this to a first timer or inexperienced do-it-yourselfer. Rod does come in two pieces but joins seamlessly. I cut mine to length for a non standard opening. No instructions provided and the fasteners are for drywall application only (drywall expansion type). If mounting directly to tile you will need a carbide spade bit and plastic anchors for screws.
