Rated 3 out of 5 by from One Trick Pony I have several home automation products including several lights. But I didn't have one that changed colors and I was interested in trying one out. This is easy to set up: just plug in, download the geenie app and connect. It took maybe 2 minutes. And changing colors fun and easy with the app. My main concern is that I can't find a way to use this with the rest of my home automaton. It doesn't work with Wink and I couldn't connect it to IFTTT apps either. Just its own app. So I can't recommend this even thigh it works. There are too many single use products out there. These thugs need to connect to hubs in order to be useful, IMO.

I did manage to get the app working and get the light bulb set up . I was unable to share the app with other members of the house. i set the timer for the light to come on and go off at pre set times and it worked fine the first day . but after that it had a mind of its own . The Colors were adjusted from a color wheel on the app. and were changed easily when you tried to change any aspect of the app. so when you finished i never was the color you chose. So unless you are a super Geek , i would pass on this light bulb.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Won't pair I delayed writing a review on the Prisma smart bulb as long as I could so I could try everything to pair it . Nothing has helped and on line support is non existent. The app has no help section and is not intuitive. My router has three access points, 5.0GHz which this bulb is not set up for (would have been nice to know before owning), and two 2.4GHz with separate passwords. The bulb has two connection methods, magic (auto), and AP (manual). I have tried every combination with no luck. My Ilumi cost more but at least it works

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Silly, but in a cool way A few years ago I made a stained glass lamp shade from flattened decorator marbles, the colors run from red at the bottom to purple at the top running through the colors of the rainbow. I put one of these bulbs in it and ran it through all its colors it actually enhances the colors in the shade but is a bit distracting if you are doing something but a fun conversation piece. I have a couple of antique stained glass lamps and will try it out on them and may add a few for the holiday season next year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works As Expected I've used smart bulbs before and this one had the features I would expect from past experience. It paired fine with my phone and I was able to set up my schedule and choose a color I wanted. The bulb is comparable to anything else you're used to and reacts quickly to the app. My only concern is that the app is a little clunky still, but nothing too bad. I also wish there were more products I could control it with, so I can cut down on how many apps I need for smart devices.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome! But has a ways to Go I love gadgets. I'm all over anything gadget-y and find out everything about how it works. That is how I approached this review of this bulb. It is really amazing. I love the multitude of colors I can choose. I have to say, though, that I had a hard time getting it to work. I have an older wifi router, and after failing several times on several devices, I found I could upgrade the firmware, and then I was able to get the bulb to work. After that, I wanted to create a "scene" for Memorial Day--Red-to-White-to-Blue. Unfortunately, the programming to create a scene is seemingly limited to turning the bulb off and on. There was no way to create a custom scene that I could find. BUT! I found that I could edit the few "scenes" that come with the bulb. Sadly, there is no "white" among the zillions of colors you can choose! In the end, the customization of this bulb leaves a LOT to be desired/ Nonetheless, the things you CAN do are fairly fun. I look forward to updates. If none are provided given these critiques, I would be VERY disappointed and would look to change my rating.
