I want to order a 10000 watt home generator. The builder installed a standard 3 prong female outlet that he said I could hook a generator to. My question is will it work? If so, will I lose efficiency that I would have with a more robust connection? If the standard outlet won't work what is recommended for a hook up?

Answer:
Please know that we design our cords for use with Generac brand products. As we do not test our accessories for use on another brand's product, we would recommend contacting the manufacturer of your specified generator to confirm whether or not their unit is compatible with a particular cord.
