Customer Questions & Answers

What type of fuel is required to run this and all others simular to this model?

Is it like the other generator(model# QT15068ANAC) with the 6.8L liquid-cooled engine that can be powered by natural gas? Is it a diesel? A gasoline driven motor in which case can be converted to run on LPG(propane) or LNG(natural gas)? Please specify if it is like an old military design motor that run on any type of fuel? Sorry but the Product Overview, Specification, and Detail does not mention this rather important factor anywhere. If it is a diesel, those that use oil heat can run this on their heating oil and add additives if needed.

As these automatic standby generators are manufactured for each specific order, we would recommend working with the company through which you are purchasing the unit to ensure that the unit is designed appropriately to run on one of two fuel sources, natural gas or liquid propane, depending on which type best fits your installation needs. In regards to Generac's 150kw automatic standby generators, model numbers QT15068ANAC and QT15068GNAC, both are manufactured to operate on natural gas.
