Depending on conditions there are optional devices which can correct these effects on the fuel. ( "Depending on conditions" means that there is a limit to the range of these options. ) You should talk to a consultant familiar with the area in which you live.
This information is in the owners manual under "SPECIFICATIONS" for both the "GENERATOR" and the "ENGINE". See the notes at the bottom of the table.
You can normally find an owners manual in PDF format in the listing. If not, I know they have them at the generac web site.
Hope this helps.

Please note that we only test our units for fuel consumption at half and full load. Considering this, Generac’s 20kw Guardian Series automatic standby generator, model number 6250, requires 205,000 btu/hr at half load, and 308,000 btu/hr at full load, when operating on a natural gas fuel source. Moreover, the unit will require 189,000 btu/hr when operating at half load, and 350,000 btu/hr at full load, when utilizing a liquid propane vapor fuel source. Please note that the unit will also require 5-7” water column for natural gas use, and 10-12” water column for liquid propane vapor.
Furthermore, while Generac does not have an output curve regarding the effect(s) of ambient conditions, please note that we recommend utilizing a Cold Weather Kit for units that will be operated in environments in which the temperature commonly falls below 32 degrees. Also, maximum power decreases about 3.5% for each 1,000 feet above sea level and will also decrease about 1% for each 6°C (10°F) above 16°C (60°F) ambient temperature. If you have any other product-related comments, questions, or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us directly at 888-GENERAC (436-3722).

Answer:
No, it's the generator only.
You would need: an Automatic Transfer Switch, Power wiring, Control wiring, wireways for the wiring, a 26R 12 VDC battery, a ground rod, an acorn clamp sized correctly for your ground rod & ground conductor and a length of ground conductor. You should talk to a Home Depot Consultant.
Hope this helps.

Items needed for a complete installation will be the automatic transfer switch, the wiring for the generator and transfer switch system, the pea gravel base or concrete slab for proper mounting of the generator, the fuel supply line, and the battery.
A cold weather kit and/or a wireless remote monitor may be added to the system at any time if desired, as no additional wires are required from the transfer switch to the generator. Both of these optional kits will include the appropriate wiring harness to be installed within the generator.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WOW...still running strong Have had generator for 3 1/2 years...needed it a few times for short durations...NOW Hurricane Matthew....generator has been running for 5 days....house is nice and comfortable.....turn it off everyday for a few hours to give it a 'rest' , check oil etc....no problems keeps on going.... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic! What peace of mind! Power goes out. Generator comes on within 15 seconds. Entire house has electricity again! No worries. Fairly quiet. Considering what it has to do (power an entire house) it is extremely quiet. June 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Not one thing we don't like about it! This is our second generator I wish we would have hot a Generac the first time. I can not find one thing to complain about. Now my father and my sister have gotten one also. We look forward to many worry free years. Great job! June 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product is very functional Got my Generac 4 years ago after a storm. I have been extremely happy with it. It is quiet . Lost power 2 times for a couple of hours and my power never skipped a beat. Thank you Generac! June 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 15 seconds and this unit is powering the whole house The few times I have been without electricity, this unit performed flawlessly! June 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best money ever spent This system is by far and away the best investment I've ever made I would Recommend to everyone go big or go home. This thing will run a small city May 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good all round residential generator and small commercial natural gas generator This natural gas generator will do most of what all your typical home needs. Its a sturdy one I"ve seen used in commercial to residential applications. The protective exterior is really nice for use in multitude of different environmental conditions. If you use a lot of natural gas consider getting on a commercial natural gas supply like commercialng.com Save like 7-20% BTW for people looking at a generator make sure which type of phase your house can handle. One customer bought an industrial grade 3 phase commercialng and we had to rewire all of his breakers and incoming power lines (for an energy company CEO ironically) The educated consumer is an effective cost saving customer :) January 21, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 20 KW runs the whole house We had the 20 KW unit installed in May 2014. It performs the weekly self test/run every week without fail. In addition I flip the main breaker maybe a couple times each month and the unit kicks in and runs the whole house. Last year during the summer a tornado/high wind event came through the area and the power went out for three hours but the Generac came on and ran two air conditioners, pool pump, pool heat pump, refrigerator and TV for three hours no problem. It eased the anxiety associated with the event. It worked just as well through the cold New England winter, starting and running with the cold weather battery warmer option. December 15, 2015
