Nope, tried and to clean off some second story mildew and did not have enough reach/pressure from the ground. Knowing that the wands were difficult to control and the likelihood of my havig toget on a ladder for part of the job anyway, I tried a two nozzle extended reach tip set that my lcal Home Depot also had. Works on your regular wand and extends the distance you can work to about 15-18 feet from the tip. Much cheaper than the long extended wand, met my needs on the mildew and was easier to control from a ladder. Applicaton Note: the extended reach tips may not work on heavier cleaning than mold or mildew and remember that 25 feet of height will be longer when working from the ground.
Safety Note: Working from a ladder or the roof is NOT recommended for the average home owner with a pressure washer, is a higher risk safety hazard than you may normally take and can EASILY result in loss of balance and a potentially deadly fall. If undertaken make sure you and your ladder are firmly planted and properly tied off/secured.

Answer:
For 25' I would suggest some wand extensions (available on line or at Home Depot) to extend your reach. The closer the tip to your work surface the more power you have. Also depends on how stubborn the dirt/mold on the siding is.

Hi Bob,
Pressure washers can be difficult to handle with their high velocity spray. They are down right dangerous when you try to operate them while standing on a ladder.
Here are a couple of necessary accessories to get your house clean without putting you in harms way.
For effective cleaning with a pressure washer, the spray nozzle will need to be consistently between 12" and 36" from the surface to be cleaned. As you work higher on the wall, a telescoping wand will help you to maintain this consistent proximity to the surface.
Telescoping wand: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Power-Care-18-ft-3-800-psi-Telescoping-Spray-Wand-for-Pressure-Washers-AP31026/202073583#.UjNcs9JJPuQ
Also consider the tip angle to the wall. A pivoting tip coupler helps to keep the proper head-on angle from the tip that cleans best, especially when working at tall angles.
Pivoting Tip Coupler: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Power-Care-Quick-Connect-Pivoting-Coupler-AP31071/202560148#.UjNdStJJPuQ
These accessories make cleaning your tall walls a snap!
Thanks for asking.

I want to leave the main unit on the ground and use power washer wand on the roof of a second story house to clean the metal roof- it comes with 30 feet of hose and I want to extend it to 100 feet. I am concerned with the pressure after extending the hose three times the length. it is also desirable to have a longer hose to not have to move the unit so much. I believe I can buy additional hose to extend the power washer line?

Answer:
I have extended the hose twice the length with no issues. Keep in mind that pressure is a result of resistance to flow, so if the flow decreases slightly based on he distance, step up to a tighter spray on the tip to balance out the difference if needed.

Currently Generac does not offer an extension to the high pressure hose provided with the power washer; the OneWash is designed to be used with a high pressure hose 30 feet in length. If a longer high pressure hose is necessary, the hose should have a diameter of 3/8” to ensure proper water flow as damage done to the unit from using an improperly sized hose will void the factory warranty. If a longer high pressure hose is necessary, the hose should have a diameter of 3/8” to ensure proper water flow as damage done to the unit from using an improperly sized hose will void the factory warranty. The hoses that come with the units are ¼” diameter, but when lengthening the hose you will have a need for more pressure, so if you increase the hose size, you increase the amount of water flowing through, allowing a longer hose to be usable for this unit. Please note that any damage to the power washer due to using a third-party accessory or hose is not covered under the factory warranty. Read Less

Answer:
I have never extended the high pressure line but I believe you can without loss of power. The unit comes with a 35' line but an optional 50' line is available. Provided there are no leaks, and the line is properly primed, I see no reason for a loss of power.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy this!!!! This is my experience with the one wash pressure washer I ordered the first one and it came to my house on time I put it altogether just realized that the choke was stuck and it smoked a lot and it would not let the unit work. So I took the pressure washer back and had to order another one the second one came the coke was also stuck after reading reviews this seems to be a big issue. This time after about two hours of messing around with the coke I was able to fix it. I used this pressure washer daily cleaning cars it only works for one month this unit does not have very common things that a pressure washer should like a gas shut off valve. The gas ended up getting in the oil as a result. It's very hard to start the engine quality is horrible after having three of the unit I finally gave up I now have a cheaper pressure washer that works way better do not buy this item it's trash September 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Product and Excellent Value My 3rd PW over past 8 years. This by far exceeds the other manufacturer's models I have used. Just prepared my home for painting with an initial cleaning and then using higher pressure nozzle to remove peeling paint from porch columns and it performed perfectly. Additionally I didn't notice my arms or shoulders being as strained as experienced in previous models. At 70 years old I look for ease of setup and ease of use and the Generac certainly met my expectations. I have even recommended this model to two neighbors who stopped by to check on my labors. They were also impressed by its quiet operation. Good job for an USA product. Thanks, Generac! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] September 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by First Power Washer - Love it !!!!!!! After much research and review, we purchased the Generac 6602 power washer. Given I have just retired; my first project was to power wash our arbor and prep for staining. Assembly was easy and the washer started with the first pull. The power washer comes with a power dial that can be adjusted for - car washing, house cleaning, fence cleaning, and brick cleaning. There are three pressure nozzles - Red for blast pressure, Green for wash and Black for detergent use. I used the fence setting for the Arbor; and adjusted nozzle types as needed. The power has a chemical tank that detergent can be used with the black nozzle. I now have about 12 hours of use with the power washer and have had no issues. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great pressure washer I had originally purchased this to do odds around the house & wash our vehicles. I didn't know back when I got it I would REALLY be needing it! I picked up a RZR UTV & each time out it gets real muddy. I add some pressure washer safe soap to the tank, spray it down on low then bump up to the green tip to get it really cleaned of. Its saved me $$$ trying to do this at a car wash that allows something this dirty, trust me! I've had it for a little over 1 year & even after sitting over the winter, still starts on 1 or maybe 2 pulls. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] September 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent tool added to garage First pressure washer I have ever bought. I did plenty of research and said let's try this one. Well all the reviews were right. This is a quality machine that is priced well for the homeowner. It allows me to get different things like the house and concrete and deck looking like new every year! Thankyou for a above average product for a smaller amount of money. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] September 16, 2016
