Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hubs Generac 3100 power washer
I was a little leary of buying one with 2 wheels because i'm 74 yrs old with severe back problems.
After researching pressure washers online I ordered the 3100 generac power washer online thru home depot because of a 60 dollar discount at the time of the order. It was delivered to my door within a week of the day I ordered it.
Unpacking and setup was very easy. Just attached the handle, added the enclosed oil, gas and cranked it on the first pull. Moved it with ease to a large patio. Worked very well removing black stains from a colorado red flagstone. The different valves are located right on top of the frame which made it easy to interchange them. Ran constantly with very little noise and the long hose completed a 20 x 33 patio without moving the washer. Highly recommend this model .

Got this model last year and used it all summer and fall, cleaned the vinyl siding on my house, the concrete side walks, pressure treated decks ever used it to clean my floor in my shop so I could paint it, I had cleaned it twice with cleaner thought I had it clean decided to use the pressure washer just to be sure wow, i just thought it was clean, this thing really did the job, next time I will just use the pressure washer. It starts every time, runs great, even after setting all winter when I went to use it this spring it started right up. Bottom line I would buy again! It's a little high priced but I guess you get what you pay for!!!

From other reviews I knew to ship to the store and check for damage before accepting delivery. Sure enough, it had a dented gas tank and cracked gas cap. I refused delivery at the store.
I reordered and requested extra packing materiel be added inside the top of the box (there is none whatsoever!). I was assured this would be done, but it was not. Fortunately, Washer #2 was not damaged. I got it home, oiled it, gassed it, hooked up the water and followed the starting instructions exactly. It wouldn't start. I suspected the carb was flooded so I let it sit an hour. I was then able to get it started, not easily, but it started. It ran for about 2 minutes, then the engine started running rough and it subsequently quit. I let it sit five minutes and the exact thing happened again, a bit sooner this time. Yes, there was sufficient water pressure, the choke was set correctly and the gas was premium grade and fresh (and I just used it to mow the yard). So, I packed the washer into the car and took it back to the store. HD took it back and issued a refund with no hassle. I'm debating whether to give it another shot. The two minutes it worked, it did exactly what I wanted. It had plenty of power. I'm impressed by the other reviews, so hopefully I just got a lemon.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by travtek Well worth researching this gas pressure washer.
I had researched online looking for the best gas cold water high pressure washer sine last fall. I placed it on a price alert looking for the unit to drop in price over the off season months of fall and winter but it did not budge until Spring. The $60.00 discount in price paid for the three year extended warranty that begins after the two year manufacturer warranty averaging only $12.00 per year for the combined coverage. I also had the option for free delivery either to the store or home. I chose the store just in case there was damage in shipping that my local Home Depot would then take care of. While the outside package looked slightly tattered and torn, there was not any visible damage or missing parts.
The following are some observations based for or against other reviews of this unit.
Assembly: Super easy and only took a minute or two.
Directions: Half of the user guide has repeated printed warnings but when you see the same warning that you have read thoroughly at least once, you can skip that part to move on faster.
Oil: You will need to add oil that is included but take the time to measure it in using a long skinny funnel and check the oil level frequently so not to overfill. There are two locations where you can choose to add the crankcase oil. Either one is fine but one works better than the other for the funnel to rest properly.
High Altitude considerations: Since my city is 6500 ft above sea level, the directions state I should add the special kit to help aid in minimizing excessive gas consumption and exhaust emissions. I have not done this and it runs fine without it but will add it on next season when I tune it up.
Maintenance: I can store this in my garage 9 months out of the year then store it in to room temp in my mechanical room in the basement with fuel completely removed from the tank.
I did invest in a fuel stabilizer as I don't plan on using this unit constantly each year. Sea Foam lasts longer (2 years) than Stabil and costs less at the local auto parts retailer. If you have other small gas engine tools like a snow thrower or lawn mover, a hand held siphon pump works great to transfer the unused fuel from one tank to the other. No mess from gas fumes to smell in my garage this way and only takes a few minutes.
Finally, I used the pressure washer on two projects so far: Paint removal on a concrete patio from the previous homeowner years ago and my cedar fence... both of which it handled flawlessly.
Starting was easy and the noise level is fine even when working right next to the unit when wearing ear plugs. The unit does tend to vibrate aggressively caused by the high pressure water pump running constantly. I never felt the drop in water flow or pressure.
If you have anti-siphon water bibs like we do in freezing locations, it is recommended to use a minimum 50-foot length garden hose to prevent damage to the water pump from being sucked out dry.
All in all I'm pleased with the performance and value of this non-commercial unit. If I could have one improvement it would be to add an hours meter to assist in logging how many hours for the purpose of maintenance if I get into a larger project that take 8 or more hours.
I plan on recouping my costs over time from not having to go to car washes all the time from Mid-Spring to Mid-Fall.
If you are a homeowner, this is a must have piece of equipment in your chore's tool arsenal.
