Answer:
As long as the model of generator to which you are referring bestows a receptacle that would accept this particular cord, it would be applicable for use on that specific unit. Please do not hesitate to contact us directly at 888-GENERAC (436-3722) with the model number of your desired unit to confirm product compatibility.

Due to the fact that Generac only tests our parts and accessories for compatibility with our own manufactured generators and associated parts, we are unable to comment on the compatibility of the 75-foot, 30 amp cord ends with another brand’s inlet box. The cord itself is UL listed, and features 4 conductors in a 10-Gauge wire with L14-30 male and female ends. For further information, we would recommend Read More

Answer:
The most important aspect of utilizing longer cords on the GP6500E is that the cords are rated for the amperage of the outlet. For instance, if you are looking for a cord to utilize with the 30 amp receptacle and you have a minimum distance of 25 feet, you will want a cord that is rated for 30 amps at 25 feet, or 30 amps at 50 feet, etc, depending on your distance requirements. As long as the cord is rated for that particular amperage, there should not be a concern for a significant loss of wattage output. Furthermore, this particular cord has a 30 amp rating, at a distance of 75 feet. The cord comes with a L14-30 plug and would be suitable to plug into your generator’s 30 amp, L14-30R twist-lock outlet. The cord is manufactured for use on generators up to 7,500 watts. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great chord This chord worked out really great for me. Very pliable not stiff at all, easy to coil up and store away. October 13, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Quality of Cord The cord has the heavy duty male and female connectors and has a heavy duty rubber coating. I bought this with the gentran manual transfer switch model 3028 to use with the plug in receptacle in the front of the transfer switch and ran it through my garage door. I used it last night while there was a storm in Southwestern PA and had no problems. Worth the money!! March 24, 2011
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed but priced high Its what you need to complete a generator instalation, but the price is high as with all generatorneeds. March 27, 2012
