Answer:
The "oil" on the hour meter indicates that it is time to change your break-in oil. This will display automatically at the first 30 hours and every 100 hours thereafter. This is a reminder to perform an oil change and filter change. For additional information on this, please see the maintenance section of your owner's manual.

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 345 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product runs great and has great safety features Recently we went through a 90 hours power outage and this generator combined with the Generlink transfer switch got us though this outage with minimal inconvenience. Only had to use this generator a few times since i purchased it two year ago but it has been a life saver March 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Portable Generator I have supplied the house through 3 power actual outages since 2013 Dec for short duration's under 12-hours. Run the GP1750E every couple months to make sure it works when needed. Starts up on no more than 2=pulls / and right away when using the electric start. Load Test Run with 3-HP LPAC [Low Pressure Air Compressor 150 psig] for the sand blaster and other lights and equipment in pole barn. Also run Simulated Power Outage Load Test to supply the house VITAL LOADS connected to our 100 Amp Sub-Panel Load Center about 4 times a year. [[Main Breaker Panel is 200 Amp --- Sub Panel is 100 Amp for fuel-oil heat, well water, sump pump, electric water heater, freezers/refrigerators, appliances in kitchen, various lighting circuits.]] Have TV, Computers, MODEM-Router, Printers on their own UPS [Uninterrupted Power Supply] to give me time to setup generator to supply electric to house. Can set-up and power house in about 5-10 minutes. Great Generator for the $$$ --- only regret was I didn't get a 15-KW Generac automatic Stand-By unit --- but I live in the rural area without natural gas and didn't want to invest in propane just for a generator. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Will never find a 7500 watt generator with all the options this has at this price !! Anyone looking to buy a generator for a work site and/or to power a home during a power outage look no more this is the generator for u March 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good value. Starts easily using the pull start. Would think the electric start would be fine for an old lady. Like the extended run time as the unit uses so little fuel. I'm using 100% straight gasoline with a bit of Seafoam added which should give me a fuel shelf life of two years if need be. The use of an Generic safety transfer switch (nicely prewired) and an alm. Generac inlet box completed a functional and good looking insulation. We are using eight circuits which required the addition of two mini breakers in the Generac switch panel. That's no problem for an electrician. Bringing the system to ten circuits requires an additional breaker box. A bit noisy but not too bad. My wife says it's "a life saver." December 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This generator has all the right features for an emergency power source. I would just like to thank you for making a affordable generator for home use. I purchased this unit and brought it home and promptly assembled it. I assembled it in no time with all of the parts being there. Now, I was ready to gas it up and see how it worked but I had one problem I could not get it off the truck. Finally, friends came by and helped me unload it. Gassed and oiled it up and the moment of truth was near, two tries and she fired up. I ran it at my daughters outside wedding for 7 hours and not a problem nor a leak. Touch loud but live able and just wish it had two handles for easier mobility. Thanks again and you can't go wrong with this generator. PS. Thanks for including a charger for the battery. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A great backup system We had a standby 12K natural gas backup generator from Generac in upstate NY and when we moved to eastern North Carolina we had nothing so we decided to go with a portable. Purchased the Generac 7600E (electric start) and had a electrician wire a 10 circuit panel into our house circuits. When the power goes out, we just plug the generator into the house circuits, start it and turn on the house circuits 1 at a time. Works wonderfully. My only wish is that the electric start battery system had a meter to tell the user how much voltage was left in the battery. Overall cost about $1500. November 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid construction and easy set up. I spent the extra couple of bucks to get the electric start model for my wife. I'm in law enforcement and if I'm ever stuck at work during an emergency, I want it to be easy for her to set up and get things going. Right out of the box, set up was easy. Followed the directions and fired it up with the electric start. I let it run for a bit and it didn't seem any louder than any other generator that I've been around. Very happy with it.
