12 in. x 17 in. Variable Speed Maxi-Lathe VS+ is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My second G-I 25 series lathe is just as great as the 25-300 I bought two years ago. Two years ago almost to the date I installed a 25-300 M1 in my home work shop and have been totally pleased with the unit. This model, a 25-200 M1 is in my craft workshop known well as the Foot Lathe, at the Ozark Folk Center State Park. It is mounted to a Northern Tool 152162 three drawer cart without casters and securely fastened to the floor. It arrived Sept. 10 was packed so well, disassembled easily for movement around the shop until reassembled in its final position. I turned on it Sept. 13 and am so happy with this purchased. The owners manual covered every detail, as every item in precisely machined and fitted. Of all the features and benefits built into the lathe the self-contained headstock is the highlight to make bowl turning a real pleasure. Second is the ease of changing belt speeds. I'll use my new 20" Easy Jaws which snap fit into the Easy Chuck made by Easy Wood Tools, as well as Faceplates of various sizes. This lathe is proof that you get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wood lathe This lathe is a very good product for the price. There is a couple of issues with the tail stock turn handle it's a bit small and the head stock does move when you have a piece between centers. It slides back when you tighten the tail stock. I love it though it's very quiet and easy to change the belt for the speeds. For bowl turning is very nice. I can turn a 17 inch bowl with no problem. The motor does not loose power and I'm very satisfied with the lathe.
