The 30 - 115 M1 is an excellent choice for serious hobbyists, schools or for anyone performing light to medium industrial applications. The 30 - 115 M1 is equipped with an industrial quality 3 HP 220-Volt motor and a magnetic safety switch. The large full cast-iron front and rear extension tables give the unit the look and feel of larger machines and the extra support they provide is ideal for longer work pieces. The fully enclosed 1-piece steel base has built-in lockable casters to make the 30 - 115 M1 mobile and easy to move in shops with space limitations. The 30 - 115 M1 has a 3 knife cutter head running at 5000 RPM, a double edged knife design and has a spring loaded knife setting system with knife setting gauge included and offers dual feed speeds, 16 or 20 ft. per minute, for smooth planning results in both soft and hard woods. The 30 - 115 M1 can plane stock having a minimum length of 6-1/2 in. from 1/8 to 6 in. thick and has a maximum depth of cut of 1/8 in. at full width.
