What size snaps are these?

I bought this kit a few weeks ago, and it's great! The problem is, I used up the 6 snaps it came with, and Home Depot doesn't seem to carry a refill set of just snaps. I don't want to buy the whole kit again, and would rather buy a 20 or 40 set of these snaps for future projects, to get a bit of volume discounting. But, no place on the packaging or online here does it say what size snaps these are. I'd think of just measuring them, but I don't know what part to measure. Anyone know what size these are, or better yet, where to get a refill kit?

Answer:
A little search on the web revealed that General Tools 1266 is the proper refill for this kit. However, I found that the refill (6 snap sets) is the same price or higher than this kit with 6 snaps and the tool. I'll pick up another kit at THD to avoid paying shipping from an online retailer.

Answer:
Answer is incorrect as far as I can see 1261-4 is for GROMMETS not SNAPS. I have the same problem. I do not want to keep buying the tools over and over. So far I have had to buy 4 SETS of this item from the shelf and all I need is the snaps and actually only need one side of the snap to replace ones on the item I am snapping onto existing screw mounted snaps on my boat.

Answer:
If you're asking about the size of the eyelet you want to repair, it really doesn't make any difference as the kit contains 6 sets that are designed to go w/each other. Just remove the old and replace w/the new.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect snaps for the job! If you forget to order a hockey mask with the snaps attached, you're going to need one of these! Install was a breeze, they were perfect size, perfect fit, and look great! Once installed, you can wander the camp in style and confidence knowing the straps are not coming off from an errant hay bail thrown at you or other assault. Live hard, play hard, these are up to the task. July 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked perfectly I used the General Tools #1265 snap fastener kit to repair an outdoor folding chair carry bag which had a broken zipper. The General Tools kit is Made in the USA and of superior quality compared to the foreign made kit I originally tried. The instructions included with the #1265 show using the same side of the anvil for setting both the button/socket and the eyelet/stud. Use the concave side of the anvil to set the button/socket fastener. I put the anvil on a concrete floor when setting the fasteners. Tap the flaring tool until the fastener no longer turns (6-8 times in my case). September 27, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OUTSTANDING repair! Local cleaners damaged snap button on front of well known brand of overalls. The flap would not stay in the "down" position and I certainly wasn't going to throw the entire set in the garbage. While perusing the HD site, came upon this kit. Also watched a video on YT and it looked so simple. So off to HD, bought the kit for $4.86, enough to fix 6 snap buttons. Man, was this a "SNAP" to fix! Start to finish was about 15 minutes and for an old man (78) including the cleanup, wasn't bad at all. And now, the flap always stays down, especially when I want it to! Have 5 more repairs that can be done! December 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simple is as simple does I needed to replace snaps on my boat cushions and did not want to spend a ton on a tool and snaps from that marine store. The reviews were great on the product and price is less than five bucks. You will need a hammer and in my case I had to rig up a stable surface usin a short piece of 2 by 4 and a crescent wrench. The kit comes with no instructions but basically you take the round jig that come with it and place the button head in the jig and thread the neck through the hole next put the snap over the neck and the other piece is the tap, which also comes in the pack. Thake the tap and insert in the neck and hammer away. The neck mushrooms which closes down on the snap...the tighter the better...keep hammering until you get the discredit results as it with net damage the jig or tab. I just did four in ten minutes September 5, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a very versital product for quick, long lasting repairs. I originally bought this to repair my welding jacket. Since then I've repaired jeans, coats, ect. Simple to use and is a very durable product, and the price, you just can't beat. November 17, 2011
