Q:So if I were wanting to check the CO level in my vehicle I would just point and push the button? How many ppm's would need to be present to register a reading?

Answer This Question
A: It seems accurate for the amateur to identify further needs, which we figured should be drawing the attention of the professional. It will have limited use for what we have planned as well. Heavy use and particular problems may dictate the need for a heavier investment. This was reasonably priced and is valued even more highly by meeting our own expectations.

A: According to another web site it is ± 20% at 0~100 ppm; ± 15% at 100~500 ppm; (at 20 ± 5°, 50 ± 20% RH). I have seen others on line that claim ± 5%

Product worked as advertised
Exactly what I was looking for. This device is quite accurate. I use the tester to check for exhaust leaks on diesel engines.

The detector was purchased for a particular need or project in mind. For this, it worked very well. I would also add that it arrived at the store well ahead of when was anticipated with the Holiday Season. It was simple enough for amateurs, which we were, and yet gave the professional results we desired. I was not sure of how much control we had of the alarm, which may have given an uncomfortable feeling that was not desired for our use but may have been just what an inspector might need. Overall it was great and came well-recommended. It is now once more recommended for value and effectiveness; this time by us.

I don't trust it
I was using this for my home inspection business and it seemed to read 0 then when I would pick it up it would jump all over. 70-140 then 0. Didn't feel like I could put families health on the line with these results.

Good instrument to check CO in home
We used an indoor rated gas heater in the basement during the cold weather and eventually a home CO monitor alarm triggered. This did not give the CO concentration but just that it had reached a dangerous level. We vented the house but was not sure that all the CO had been removed. We used this instrument to sweep the house and check that all CO had been removed.

Calibration time is unfortunate but otherwise solid hardware
Nothing much to say; works as expected. Test on vehicle exhaust if you don't trust that the device is operating correctly.

The product did not meet my needs
I need a monitor that will stay on for as long as I need it on a job, at least a couple hours. This one has an auto shutoff that shuts it down after 15 minutes, and does not save the values. A manufacturer's engineer confirmed it cannot be overridden.

works fine
It seems to work fine. I don't have anything to compare it to to measure its accuracy. But it was easy to use and it is a good workable size.

This product is a great value.
These do no last as long as the more expensive models, because they cannot be re-calibrated. But they are so much less expensive that over a 10 year period they are a much better value.
