    This tool saves walls
I used Edge Wedges yesterday to remove about 20 feet of baseboard from my walls. As you can see in the pictures, there was essentially no damage to the walls. Many of the baseboards came off undamaged; where there was damage it was due to a pry bar removing nails at difficult angles through the quarter round. This house is 63 years old, and there are many layers of paint here. Edge Wedges cut cleanly between the plaster walls and the baseboards. Edge Wedges are made from polycarbonate, so they're light, and they're gentle on your walls. As you can see in the photos, if you drive them onto finishing nails, you can dent the wedges. I was able to sharpen two wedges in a minute with a common file. I sharpened another in less than a minute with grinder. I guess you could make a tool like this out of steel, but it might be hard on the walls, and eventually you'd have to sharpen a steel wedge too.

    Lightweight duty
These are a good value for lightweight duty prying. But be aware, these are plastic. Well, they are "polycarbonate," which is another word for a tougher kind of plastic. But they are still plastic. That helps with the non-marking, but it also has some downsides. These tools are also small. Check the attached photo to compare them to a standard size manila folder (about 8 3/4" by 11 1/2"). For simple molding, fairly new, that is attached lightly, it will work. But I wanted to really pry some 35 year old baseboard that was attached with 12d finish nails, and I can say it wasn't going to happen! I needed a strong metal pry bar to make that happen. The tool at least can start the process a bit, but it will not pull something attached with such large nails that has some age on it. I think I may put these in my auto-tools bin. The package says they are good for automobile panels. I agree. I think these will be perfect for my car. That makes more sense.

    PERFECT BASEBOARD REMOVAL TOOLS!
Super useful tool for removing baseboards and moldings! They wont mark the painted wall and I got to reuse the baseboards saving hours and hours of cutting and installing. I also used them for leveling my windows and are a great temporary shim tool. Brilliant Tool wish I had these years ago! Well worth teh money and Made in the USA!

Not worth the money could have been made out of the better quality plastic something that could hold up to being able to be used as prying. Save your money.

    Sturdy and useful!
This is a nice combination of plastic pry tools. They come in handy for all sorts of applications where metal pry tools might be to risky and or leave marks. For molding removal they are perfect and pose less risk of damage to the wall The various shapes are good for different places where they are needed. They will also be useful in removing panels on automobiles that are snapped into place removing gaskets without fear of scraping the metal etc. They are strong and thick but not to thick so they can't slip in behind your materials. They will be very useful when we re-do out other bathroom as well as various other projects...and a great value!
