You could probably install these with adhesive but I don't believe this would be the best choice. Since the edges on the ones I got were a bit wrinkled, if the edges are visible it wouldn't look too good. The semi-gloss finish also results in kind of a cheap looking finish, while the cost per square foot is pretty high. If you don't want to use a suspended ceiling, I would go with 1/4" drywall - finished Read More

If not, go with either a bead board, or prefinished Masonite, or plywood panels - easier, cheaper, and probably better looking (HD carries these too) Read Less

Yes, just use right glue for weight. They are not very heavy but over time adhesives tend to loosen and dry out.

Hello and thank you for your interest in our product. Use a skill saw or RotoZip to cut to odd sizes and a hole-saw or RotoZip for sprinkler heads or can lights. The tile can be trimmed with a utility knife. You may also use a metal angle ruler, score it and snap the tile. Please feel free to contact our customer care team at 800.434.3750 for any further questions or needed assistance. Thank you!

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice tile Lightweight, easy to cut, and looks much better than accoustic. Here is my ceiling in progress with new grid covers going up as well. I may decide to take them down and paint them or decoupage them. Leftover tiles will be good for craft projects. Shipping was fast and the tiles were packed well. May 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ceiling tile Great replacement for my drop ceiling! Looks great and easy to work with. Very happy with this purchase. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2 Ft X 4 Ft Smooth Pro Lay-in Ceiling Tile This product is what it says it is. I used this in a manufacturing area where dirt and dust have to be at a minimum. If you need a clean look with minimal dust, this product is for you, It was very easy to cut and install. Replacing the typical thick insulated ceiling tiles with these new ones was a breeze. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Quality not exceded by value While the product is brittle it is still a great value and functions as it is designed to be used. August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PLAIN AND SIMPLE if you are looking for just basic ceiling tiles (that might emulate a flat roof), then these are the ones to get. The water resistant feature helps if you have anything moist or pipes above the tiles. January 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed Plain and simple, smooth, white, with a perfect fit. February 12, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Vinyl Ceiling Tiles Used to replace plastic tiles; MUCH easier to cut than plastic. January 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very easy to install the old ceiling tile in the basement bath was damaged by years of moisture and was sagging and discolored. I went with this water resistant product to ensure there would be no mold growth or water damage due to use of the shower. There are ducts right above the tiles in several places, so the thin (0.188) profile made installation much easier. In addition, they cut cleanly so I didn't damage any during installation. The product appears to have solved my problem. Here are the only downsides: Several panels had damaged edges, but these were hidden by the grids so no big deal. Due to their light weight, the panels are a bit difficult to get to lay flat against the grids, but eventually you can tease them into position. The shiny surface does show fingerprints and stains - making them look a bit cheap - but this probably wouldn't bother the casual observer. The soil came off with a little patience, window cleaner, and a microfiber cloth, August 22, 2015
