No. The extension you are asking about is for channel rail openers. The unit you have uses a T-rail. I'm sorry to say they are not compatible.

Our current rails are not compatible with our older model openers. The entire opener will need to be replaced.

No this is only for adding on to the rail if you have an 8 ft. tall door.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A little information about installation I was reading a question answered by Genie and its still a bit confusing. I used it to actually shorten my rail for a one piece door so I took the stock center piece out and added just this foot. When you look at it you automatically think the screw goes in the section of channel it comes with. It doesn't, spread your current screw out and just add this in the middle of existing channel, then simply add the extra piece of channel to the end to hold the screw you just exposed spreading them in the middle.
