Answer:
Chain tends to be the loudest of all openers with some greasing on occasion and adjusted chain requiements. Belt driving is suppose to the quietest of the 3, minor adjustments might occur. Srew drive applications are direct drive. everyone has their opinions on them. it is basically up to how you like the design, performance and reviews of products.

Answer:
Belt drive utilizes a rubberized/ plastic type belt to pull the door up and down. A chain drive does the same thing, but is noisier, and the screw drive is a direct screw type mechanism. The belt drive and chain drives are circular while the screw drive is basically a straight shaft. The screw drive is more quiet than the chain drive, and probably about the same noise level as the belt drive.

Answer:
Belt drive, a large rubberized belt between two pulleys, provides quieter operation, especially for garages with rooms above them. Chain drives, like a bicycle chain, are usually cheaper but noisy. Screw drives, a joined long screw that turns and a "nut" runs along it, have less moving parts, are slower opening and noisy, but don't hold up in wide temperature changing climates, like Sacramento.

Answer:
These drives differ in the mechanism used to lift and close the door. Each transfers energy from the motor to the door in different ways. The screw drive uses a screw mechanism to lift and close. The belt drive uses a belt like the drive belts in your car engine. The chain drive uses a chain like the bicycle chain from pedal to wheel. The screw drive may be the noisiest. But I believe it's more durable.

I do not know, but doubt it. Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 62 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by works fine like it suppose to. the product works fine and I recommend it however the problem I had was this, when I ordered the powerlift 900 it arrived in a box that said powerlift 500 so I return it to the store after I spoke to a rep on the phone and told me to return to store and order again the second time it arrived wbas the same thing instead of 900 it said 500 on the box I called again but no one had answers, I even called Genie co and they said their is no powerlift 500 in their system so I called back to Home depot they said take pictures of the outside of the box and pictures of opener when I did I found the opener was the 900 inside the box 500. So I suggest you save everybody the time and aggravation buy marking the box properly or put a note on it so it clear what is in the box, not happy. June 28, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install yourself Easy to install right out of the box. 2 people can handle this in under 2 hours. June 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Similar to older unit on other side I tried to match other unit in garage. This is as close as I could find. May 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Features Love my new garage door opener. There are some features I like a lot one being the opener button near my inside door. I can turn the light off and on as I need it. My old one I had to open the door for the light to come on and the wait for the light to go out. This one I can do it almost instantly. Saves electricity. I just wish it were a little quieter. I guess the next model up would have been better, but I bought what I could afford. March 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Setup Had Me Calling For Help First of all, let me say that I would definitely recommend this product. I would, however, suggest that you install it on a weekday or early Saturday morning as support is closed on Sunday Assembly was a breeze. I noticed during assembly that the old limit switches were no longer used. I wondered how the up-and-down limits were going to be set. When it came time to do that you simply run the garage door down and then back up using manual control buttons on the powerhead. I got into trouble by taking the instructions too literally. The instructions said to run the door down firmly against the ground. What I learned later was that firmly does not mean firmly it just means until the door touches and settles on the ground. There are sensors inside the powerhead that sense when the door has touched the ground and when the screw track rail has been bowed. The system will not allow you to set limits that go beyond what it deems to be reasonable downward force. After several sessions with support we determined that I was over pressing the door and with a few little up tics on the powerhead Buttons I was able to successfully get the door to go down and stay down instead of kicking back up. I think the instructions could've been much plainer with how to initially set up the door. They waste several pages on how to set the force level but in fact the force level is set automatically during the first door cycle. This new model allows you to reuse your outside control panel and old remotes. It also includes a button to manually turn on the power headlights for additional light in the garage without cycling the garage door. Finally there is a lock switch on the control panel that prevents the door from being raised remotely. I like the finished product and I am glad I purchased it. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Power lift 900 My second genie.best!! Easy to install.would recommend. April 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Garage Door Opener I bought 2 of these for a new home. The first one installed easily and worked great. The second one was damaged and had to be returned, unfortunately I realized this after it was installed. The wall switch was different also. I exchanged it and the replaced unit was exactly like the first on. It installed easily and it works great. These are not the ultra quiet type so use caution if they are next to bedrooms.
