it says it can open 3 doors, what does that mean? I have two garage doors that I need new openers do I need two separate openers?

Asked by: Anonymous
One of these openers can be programed to open up to three doors, there are 1, 2, and 3 dots in the buttons, program the 1 dot for 1 door and the 2 dot for the other door, I used the 3 dot for my gate opener,, program the other remote the same way and give it to your significant other or keep it for a spare.

Yep. Gotta buy it. Get the Genie one if you like it simple to set up and might need help from the manufacturer.

The QuietLift seemed the best opener for the money involved. After reviewing the You Tube online demo's my sons and I proceeded with the installation. Total time from unboxing to completion was approximately 45 minutes. "QuietLift" is a very appropriate name for this unit as the only sounds heard was the quiet hum of the drive and the normal sounds coming from the garage door itself. This is my first belt drive opener and I would imagine all owners of belt drive openers felt the same amazement when first operating their openers. The only thing I would question would be the life span of the belt. I haven't seen parts for the openers listed in box stores but would imagine parts could be obtained through the manufacturer..

I replaced the motor that striped an inside gear on my Quietlift 800 garage door. Was not a fun job as it's very cold in Minnesota in January. As far as the motor working properly, it does and is as quiet as the one I replaced. You have to show you owned the home since the garage door was purchased and they need a number from the motor that indicates productin date for the 10 year warranty. This was easy to supply them with, and once it was done they were very quick in sending out the motor. As far a difficulty replacing, I would say it's not for the faint of heart, but anyone who's taken something apart and put back together and had it work, it's not so bad. Instructions were very good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stealth Garage Door Opener I replace my chain-drive garage door opener with this quiet-lift 800. Installation took about 2+ hours with a friend helping but we ran into no actual problems or complications. My garage has a bedroom over it, which was the main reason I wanted to replace it with something quieter. I live in a town-home and recently talked to my neighbor about the garage opener and he told me "We never hear your garage open or close any more". In the bedroom the noise has been reduced from a loud rumble to a low growl. Set-Up was a breeze and I haven't had a single problem since installation. All you hear is the door moving along the rails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great opener for the price! Just installed this over the past weekend as my old Craftsman 1/2 HP chain drive finally stopped working. The Craftsman was installed in '92 so it was almost 25 years old...but it was a beast and very loud. This Genie belt drive is light-years ahead of the old one! I was able to utilize the old bracing (had to adjust it a tad because this unit is narrower). Total time after removal of old, and installing with my wife, it took about 3 hours. Lubed up all rollers and hinges as well and it's nothing more than a slight hum when opened and closed. Very pleased with this purchase.

The old one was so noisy. Installation was pretty simple but does need you to pay attention on the step by step assembly. My only complaint is for the included hanging brackets are poor quality. I had to buy solid bracket and cut them buy the size I needed. For DIY it should have come with an adjustable hanging brackets. Other this Genie should have include the Wireless wall unit. Which I had to buy separately. Overall it's pretty nice unit and cost only $130 plus bracket $10 and Wireless Key Pad $26.

Installation took me awhile as I was being very careful not to mess it up, and I was successful. The product is very quiet and set up and programming was a breeze. We were even able to add the still functioning opener, dual garage doors- again forty years old, to another button on our two new remotes. Very pleased with our purchase and the operation and function of our new opener. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Value for money I have observed this quiet lift for about a month now and I'm satisfied with it. The only thing you want to consider is the wall console, I had to call Genie to secure a new wall console because the series II that came with the product did not work. It's simple but powerful. I'll also advise that you use a power surge protector to ensure the circuit board is safe from storm induced power fluctuation, which was what blew up my 3/4 hp 1000 SilentMax.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality for the price I was worried changing out my old garage door opener. I have done a lot of things myself, but this was new to me. Turns out, the whole process was quite easy. The new opener is quiet and easy to use. If you are not swapping out the opener, the instructions are still pretty clear and straight forward. If you garage door is taller than 7' make sure to get the extension segment. Thankfully I didn't require it, but overall this is a good product.
