I read A LOT of reviews on this before buying. I moved into a house with green and gold Formica that had to go! But didn't have the funds to do anything too major (even laminate). This was so easy! i didn't even have to watch the DVD, everything is on YouTube you need to know about how to apply it. I also did some cheats. After reading other reviews i wasn't too keen on using their top coat. It seemed flimsy and unpredictable. Everything in the kit is water based so i just ended up buying some Poly-acrylic in gloss to go over once i was finished painting. So much easier and faster and I know that that top coat will hold up! I also didn't wait the full 8 hours for the primer to dry. On the first piece of counter to test i did, and it turned out great. On the rest of the kitchen i was too antsy. I gave it a few hours, but there were no problems. All in all it is great for a cheap facelift. I like how also you have liberty with the paint. I realized some areas weren't as covered with a certain color as others. Instead of going in the 1, 2, 3 paint step, if you need to go back over with another color to lighten darken you can at any time and i had no problems. Just make sure you keep the dab motion and don't over work one area a lot . If you do over work an area and it looks too muddied, let it sit for a few minutes, then take either the darkest or lightest paint and dab it a couple times. It will put life back into that area.

I'm super excited to have come across this product. I was little intimidated at first, but after watching the dvd that came with the kit it was super easy! It was a little time consuming, but that's with any painting project & the job pays off! I've included pics of my results & absolutely love the finished product!

Amazing product! Our house is thirty years old and so were the kitchen countertops. They were scratched, chipped and dull. The seams were uneven and unsightly. Everytime we tried to price new countertops, it turned into a kitchen remodel. That is not what we wanted or needed. So I did some research and looked up "painting your countertops". Giani Granite kept coming up in all my searches. I read all the reviews and watched the tutorials. Thought about it for a few months before selling my husband on it. I ordered it and watched the video several times before starting. The instructions were very easy to follow. The only thing I believe the video could have explained better is what the paint does as it dries. IT IS MAGIC!!! It moves and becomes this amazing granite looking finish! We were so happy, i did the bathroom in a different color. It is beautiful too. Everyone who comes into the house thinks we got new counters. I know i have sold at least two people on the product and will have more. Oh and the best part, we spent under 100.00 on the kitchen. Down from 7000.00. That is a lot of bang for our buck.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Susie Great Product and Easy to Use instead of forklifting... Save lots of money..
Great product... I bought a rental and it had a blue vanity in upstairs bathroom. I was ready to forklift when I decided to give Giani a try. I was so pleased.. Easy to use.. waiting to see the durability. Only concern is long time to cure. My sister liked it so well that we used the rest of it to transform her kitchen. This product saved us lots of money.. you can see I used it on counter top and tile.. I will be using again.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ajodavis Uncertain at first but ABSOLUTLEY LOVE the result!!
We were attempting a kitchen overhaul and I came across the Giani Granite. I'm so glad we did because it was probably the best investment in our whole kitchen. We had ugly plain white laminate countertops. I needed a change. We bought two of the chocolate brown kits. We used one whole box and only the top coat of the second box. Since it turned out great we our going to use the extra in our bathroom! Thankfully this kits came with an instruction DVD and we watched it numerous times. You really can't mess this up. If you did its only when you are applying the top coat where you could potentially see lines. We were so happy with the results. Of course I posted to social media and we had about 6 individuals contact us to inquire how we did our countertops. One even came to look as they were trying to remodel as well. ABSOLUTLEY loved it! Would do this again in a heartbeat! I'm including some pics for viewing.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DirtyRed Love this stuff!
Bought this product in Sicillian Sand for my kitchen counter tops that were hideous. Added a little Martha Stewart bronze glaze to the mix and the outcome was better than I expected. Started a whole new kitchen/bath remodeling spree. Easy to apply, follow the instructions and you cant go wrong. Clean, Tape, and have room to maneuver. I thought the dvd was wrong by doing the counters first and not the back edges, but they are correct! I tore my sponges instead of cutting them to give them a more natural edge. The black practice paper really didnt help much, so go right ahead and dive in. If you dont like the results, just prime over and start again. Whatever color you want to stand out the most, use as the base. Have a little more polyurethane available to get a good coverage and shine to the counter. Their roller was leaving streaks, so I fine sanded them out and reapplied with a new roller, or use a big sponge brush. Now for the chocolate in my bathroom. will add pics for that later. Here are the ones from my kitchen.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mt47 LOVE my new countertops!
I absolutely love my new countertops. I read many reviews, watched videos and looked up pictures before purchasing and was convinced to give Giani a try. It completely transformed our kitchen, and I have told so many people about Giani countertop paint. It takes about a weekend with drying time, and it's totally worth it. The chocolate brown kit is easy to use, and I watched the DVD again before each step of the process. It saved us hundreds if not thousands of dollars to not have to upgrade our countertops with new materials, and the durability has been great so far (it's been 3 months and I've had no issues). Be sure to watch the DVD and have enough light when you're doing the top coat because it can be a challenge to avoid the "dry streak" marks the DVD mentions. I got a few streaks but blame it on lack of lighting because I wasn't able to see it at the time but can see it a bit with sunlight on the one area. Friends and neighbors have been blown away with the transformation, and everyone asks to see the kit so they can possibly do it to their countertops. We had a few faux granite tile samples, and if we set them on the countertop, it literally blends in and you can't even see it. Pretty cool. One tip with the Chocolate Brown kit is to do more blending on the 3rd color (dark brown) than the lighter colors. This allows the dark brown color to look more natural and less "spongey" on top of the lighter layers. It adds a new dimension of color to the lighter paint layers rather than looking slightly unnatural and out of place, so don't be afraid to use that color and blend it more than the other layers. Overall, would purchase again and again. I recommend this product to everyone.
