Answer:
Galvanized Steel Metal Roofing Panels are really not your best choice for use under ground...constant moisture will cause the panels to rust. However, should you decide to use these try coating the panels, both sides, with a sufficient moisture proofing paint/sealant. As far as overlapping...I wouldn't think you'd need more than 8 inches and the dirt should hold them in place without needing fasteners Read More

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Way too thin and weak - not worth it This is about half the thickness of corrugated roofing of years past (which is still around 50+ years later). I dont see this lasting more than 10 before corroding through. The galvanized coating is thin and the panels are thin. You get what you pay for I suppose January 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Check dimensions At the store, I realized that this panel was actually the same dimensions as the Fabral 2-1/2" 29 GA CORRUGATED 2'X6' product—they both had ridge height of 0.5". December 3, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Provides shade and shelter from the rain Bends pretty easy and needs to be secured well or it will flap in the wind. Does what its supposed to and gives shade and dry shelter. October 29, 2013
